WordPerfect Magazines Join Interchange Online Network

Will Provide Hands-on Tips, Techniques and Software for Users of
WordPerfect and WordPerfect for Windows

PC EXPO, New York City, June 28, 1994 -- WordPerfect Magazines, a division
of WordPerfect Corporation, and Ziff-Davis Interactive (ZDI), the online
division of Ziff-Davis Publishing, today announced that the companies will
make WordPerfect Magazine and WordPerfect for Windows Magazine available
online on Ziff's Interchange Online Network. Available nationwide later
this year, Interchange is a new online information service and next
generation publishing platform that Ziff-Davis, The Washington Post, The
Minneapolis Star Tribune, Starwave Corporation and many other kinds of
publishers are using to build powerful new collections of online content
catering to people with special interests. The first special interest
area, the Interchange computing service, will be developed by Ziff-Davis
for people with a serious interest in computing.

As part of the Interchange computing service, WordPerfect Magazine and
WordPerfect for Windows Magazine will be "magazine companions" --
interactive, online versions of popular magazines that extend and
complement the content of the print publications. Subscribers of
Interchange's computing service will be able to access current and past
articles from WordPerfect Magazine and WordPerfect for Windows Magazine;
get the latest product news about WordPerfect and WordPerfect for Windows;
download productivity-boosting files, macros, and other software developed
by WordPerfect Magazines' editors and technical staff; and enter
discussions with the editors and other users.

"Our mission is making WordPerfect users more productive. The Interchange
platform, particularly because of its universal linking and multimedia
capabilities, will let us deliver powerful new information sets that users
can put to immediate use," said Bob Wright, producer of WordPerfect' s
electronic magazines. "With Interchange, we are able to retain our
magazines' distinct look online while at the same time enriching the
content and usefulness of each article."

"WordPerfect magazines are great additions to the magazine companions on
the Interchange computing service," said Lee Phillips, vice president of
industry marketing for Ziff-Davis Interactive. "WordPerfect and
WordPerfect for Windows magazines' in-depth, hands-on editorial and
software complements the content from Ziff-Davis, InfoWorld and other
computer magazines online, as well as the rich collection of other
computer-related content and software. WordPerfect users will find
Interchange a highly accessible source of current information about
getting the most from their software."

For example, a user could read an article in WordPerfect for Windows
Magazine about using WordPerfect for Windows 6.0 for designing a monthly
newsletter; download several software templates discussed in the story;
and share productivity tips with other members. By clicking on icons
embedded in the story by editors, the user could link to related product
reviews in InfoWorld and PC Magazine; an article about desktop publishing
with WordPerfect for Windows 6.0 in PC/Computing; a discussion forum in
the WordPerfect Companies Online area where users are discussing desktop
publishing; and complementary software programs in the Software Library.

area of Interchange provides comprehensive product and industry news;
