NEW MULTIMEDIA PRODUCTS DEBUTED AT PC EXPO BY AIWA AMERICA, INC.

Leading consumer electronics manufacturer and marketer expands its North
American consumer multimedia product line with introduction of multimedia
speakers, quad speed 3-disc CD ROM auto changer, and tape backup system.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK, June 20,1995 -- Following its entry into the North
American consumer multimedia marketplace last January, AIWA AMERICA, INC.
today expanded its multimedia product line with the introduction of a
quad-speed 3-disc CD-ROM auto changer, a powerful three-piece multimedia
active speaker system, and a parallel printer port tape backup system for
PC compatible personal computers. The introduction of the expanded AIW'A
multimedia product line was made at PC Expo in New York, at Booth #3060 in
the Jacob Javits Convention Center.

"In the Japanese consumer marketplace, AIWA is a recognized full line
supplier of superior quality, innovatively designed multimedia, data
storage, and communications products for both consumer and business
applications," stated AIWA AMERICA, INC. Vice President of Marketing Yasuo
Inomata. "Over the last six months, we have introduced a selected series
of AIWA multimedia products to the North American marketplace -- products
that include CD-ROM drives, a 14.4bps voice/fax/data modem, a portable
14.4bps voice/fax/data modem, and a 14.4bps fax/data modem card for PCMCIA
slots.

"These products were well received by a nationwide network of dealers and,
as a result, we are now expanding our product line here in America with
the addition of three new very exciting multimedia products," he
emphasized.

New Quad Speed 3-Disc Auto Changer Offers Consumers More Flexibility:

The new AIWA ACD-630 Quad Speed 3-Disc CD-ROM Auto Changer will provide
consumers with a host of new multimedia options. The revolutionary ACD-630
is compatible for use with Audio CDs, CD-ROM, and multisession Photo CD
software -- and is able to hold three CDs at a time. With an MPEG decoder
card (not supplied), the AIWA ACD-630 will also support the Video-CD and
CD-I platforms. The quad speed (600KB) system features a 1/3rd stroke
access time, 256KB data buffer capacity, and a built-in hi-fi
amplifier/multimedia speaker system. Offering full audio CD player
function controls, the ACD-630 will allow consumers to change two discs
while the third is being played. The unit even comes with utility software
for both Windows and Macintosh computer platforms.

The new AIWA ACD-630 Auto Changer carries will be available for delivery to
dealers in the Fall. Suggested retail pricing for the product will be
announced closer to delivery of the unit.

New Multimedia Active Speaker Is Designs For Active Consumers:

For multimedia enthusiasts who want their sound to rival music-quality
levels, AIWA is introducing its stylish and powerful new AIWA TS-CD20
Multimedia Active Speaker. This sophisticated, three-piece active speaker
system features Super T-Bass for a rich low frequency resolution, 20-watts
of power delivered through its built-in powered subwoofer and two
satellite speakers, magnetically shielded cabinets, speaker stands, and
auto power on/off. The system is finished in a sleek matte pebble grey
color that complements any multimedia PC configuration. Scheduled for
delivery to dealers starting later this Summer, the new AIWA TSCD20
speaker system carries a suggested retail price of $175.00.

New Parallel Port Tape Drive Won't Let Consumers Down:

Data is important. No one understands this more than AIWA, a world leader
in the development of consumer and professional tape backup storage
systems. This commitment to quality and reliability is reflected in the
new AIWA TD-P250 Parallel Printer Port Tape Backup System for PC
compatible computers.

With the AIWA TD-P250, consumers need only to plug the drive cable into the
parallel printer port and start backing up their data on to tape
cartridges. The industry standard QIC-80 system operates up to 9.5MB per
minute, has a maximum 250MB data storage capacity with data compression,
and includes Arcada backup software for DOS and Windows operating systems.
Easy to install and easier still to operate, the AIWA TD-P250 is designed
to provide data intensive multimedia consumers with an affordable and
reliable way to backup all of their important data files. The TD-P250
carries a suggested retail price of $150.00 and will be delivered to
dealers starting later this month.
