Asymetrix Announces World Developers Conference 95

BELLEVUE, Wash.--April 5, 1995--Asymetrix Corporation has announced its
third annual World Developers Conference, to be held in Bellevue,
Washington, September 11-13, 1995 at the Bellevue Red Lion Hotel. The
conference will offer Windows developers over 30 seminars and hands-on
sessions in the following tracks: multimedia authoring/design/production;
computer-based training and performance support systems; multimedia tools;
and business and education applications. Keynote speakers will include
Paul Allen, chairman and CEO of Asymetrix and Vern Raburn, acting
president of Asymetrix.

"The demand for multimedia applications is greater than ever. With the
price of multimedia PCs dropping so rapidly, multimedia computing has
become mainstream," said Vern Raburn, acting president of Asymetrix. "The
World Developers Conference is designed to provide developers with leading
edge development tools and techniques to bring exciting and powerful
multimedia products to market faster than ever."

The three day conference is designed for developers of multimedia
presentations, computer-based training applications and performance
support systems, CD-ROM titles, information kiosks and on-line publishing,
and interactive marketing. The conference will include over 30 seminars
and hands-on sessions taught by experts in the industry, many of them
Asymetrix developers with in-depth knowledge of the products Some of the
topics to be covered include the following:

* New Authoring Techniques
* Business and Education Applications Managing CBT Design and
  Development
* Using Digital Video Effectively

Attendees will have the chance to learn time-saving techniques that will
speed their development time and about new products that will help them
create more exciting content. Other seminars will provide tips for CD-ROM
publishing, techniques for getting products to market more efficiently,
and discussions on copyright, licensing, and localization issues. In
addition, developers will have the opportunity to learn from other
developers through case studies.

One of the key special events of the conference will be the announcement of
the winners of the first annual Video Breakthrough Awards, sponsored by
Asymetrix Corporation, Creative Labs Inc., and Multimedia World magazine.
The Video Breakthrough Awards are designed to recognize excellence and
innovation in applications using Asymetrix Multimedia ToolBook 3.0 or
Compel, Intel's Indeo video technology, and Creative Labs Video Blaster
RT300. Winners will be announced in the categories of: (1) Computer Based
Training (CBT)/Education; (2) Multimedia Presentations; (3) CD-ROM titles;
(4) Interactive Kiosks; and (5) Digital Video Art (over 90 seconds in
length).

As part of the conference, Asymetrix is also organizing a Product Fair at
which publishers, developers and OEMs will be exhibiting their products.
