BOCA RESEARCH AND CHASE RESEARCH PARTNER TO PROVIDE NEXT GENERATION ISDN
AND MULTIPORT CONNECTIVITY PRODUCTS

New York, NY, June 20, 1995--Boca Research, Inc. (NASDAQ: BOCI) and Chase
Research PLC (England) announced today at PC Expo an agreement to develop
ISDN and multiport connectivity products. This agreement will combine Boca
Research's manufacturing expertise with Chase's ISDN technology leadership
to produce cost-effective ISDN connectivity products and jointly develop
low-cost multiport serial boards for the Windows, NT and UNIX markets.

"We see our entry into the ISDN market as a very strategic move to enhance
our position in the high-speed digital communications arena," said Tony
Zalenski, President and CEO of Boca Research. "The Chase alliance affords
us the opportunity to quickly develop new products. It also provides us
with more extensive distribution channels, particularly in Europe," he
added.

ISDN, or Integrated Services Digital Network, provides high-speed combined
service of voice/data/fax/video over digital phone lines. Accordingly to
Zalenski, the ISDN joint product offerings will be strong on features and
low on price point. The first product will be an ISDN terminal adapter
("digital modem") featuring a built-in NT I interface for easy
installation and asynchronous line speeds up to 230.4Kbps through channel
aggregation. The Boca Research terminal adapter will ship in early fourth
quarter 1995, with a targeted suggested retail price of less than $500. An
international version without an NT I will be available shortly
thereafter.

The ISDN products will be targeted at the SOHO (small office/home office)
and branch office marketplace. The companies are focusing their marketing
efforts on teaming with the Regional Bell Operating Companies (RBOCs) and
telephone operation companies worldwide to promote the products.

"The partnership will allow us to take advantage of each company's
strengths in design and manufacturing as well as our combined global
distribution channel," said Jim Mockler, Chairman of Chase Research. "This
agreement allows Boca Research to enter the ISDN market and combines the
strengths of Boca and Chase to compete against such companies as Adtran;
and in the multiport market, we will complement each other to compete
against such companies as Digi International," he added.

Boca Research will be developing 2-, 4-, 8- and 16-port serial boards to be
combined with Chase Research's software drivers for Windows, NT and UNIX
variants including SCO, Solaris and Novell Unixware. This new generation
of serial I/O boards maximizes performance by using the latest serial I/O
technology. The first joint product to ship will be a high-speed 460Kbps
2-port board which is being released with Windows drivers in June 1995.

Founded in 1985, Boca Research is headquartered in South Florida. The
company designs, manufactures, markets and supports data communications,
