CARROLL TOUCH ADDS 14-INCH CURVED-SCREEN TOUCH SENSOR TO NEW GUIDED
ACOUSTIC WAVE PRODUCT FAMILY

NEW YORK, June 20, 1995 -- Carroll Touch Inc., the first company to ship
touch products using the new guided acoustic wave technology, today added
a 14-inch curved touch sensor to its guided wave touch product family.

Guided acoustic wave is the newest and most advanced touch technology
available today, incorporating many features found only selectively on
other touch technologies. These systems have the thinnest profile of any
touch technology. They are sealable for use in harsh conditions, offer
three-dimensional touch sensing, and are completely drift-free.

At PC Expo, Carroll Touch Inc., of Round Rock, Texas, is demonstrating the
first family of products based on this leading-edge touch technology. The
new products include six touchscreen kits for flat panel displays and the
14-inch curved screen display, announced at the

"The 14-inch curved sensor is the first of several guided wave CRTs we plan
to produce," said Robert Christiansen, Director of Guided Wave Products,
Carroll Touch Inc. "We are continuing to develop new applications for this
technology, which can be applied to a virtually unlimited range of
solutions requiring a simplified human-machine interface."

Guided wave technology offers z-axis capability, adding a third dimension
of touch measurement to traditional, two-dimensional x-y-axis systems. In
multimedia and interactive applications, for example, this enables a
single touch target to launch a command and to measure variable levels,
such as color intensity and sound volumes. The only other overlay
technology which offers a z-axis requires glass sensors three times
thicker than those on guided acoustic wave systems and cannot be sealed
against potentially harsh environments.

Guided wave touch sensors feature the thinnest profile of all touch
technologies, giving them unmatched optical clarity and excellent
transmissivity. The sensors are completely sealable to NEMA 4 standards,
which requires that a system be operational after exposure to
hose-directed water.

Another advantage of guided wave touch sensors is the total absence of
drift under any environmental conditions. Capacitive and resistive
technologies are both subject to drift, requiring frequent, complex
calibration. Guided wave systems are calibrated once, at the factory. When
installed, the required touch targets can be programmed easily by the user
without the need for recalibration.

These features make it the ideal touch technology for medical
instrumentation, industrial process control, and a variety of other uses
for flat panels and CRTs, such as kiosks, retail systems, interactive
video and games -- any application where touch systems can be used.

Because they can be sealed, guided wave systems are particularly useful for
video lottery terminals and games installed in casinos, on riverboats, at
racetrack sites, and for a variety of other entertainment and tabletop
touch applications. For example, if a beverage glass is set on the screen
of a guided wave flat panel screen, the system will not register the glass
as touch but will continue to recognize touch signals activated by hand.
This is not possible with resistive or capacitive systems.

The flat panel touch kits were developed to allow the addition of a
touchscreen interface to an OEM flat panel system. The kits include the
touch sensor, cables, serial controller, and software drivers for OEM flat
panels and can be used on flat panels with 6.4-inch, 8.4-inch, 9.4-inch,
10.4-inch, 12.1-inch or 14-inch diagonal screens. The 6.4-inch and 14-inch
touch kits are ideally suited for the new Sharp TFT displays.

The Guided Wave products all feature a 5-year warranty and a 30-day money
back guarantee. A price sheet is attached. Carroll Touch products are
available by calling (800) 3TOUCH-1, (800) 386-8241. These products are
all available for immediate shipment.
