Compulink Unveils New LaserFiche NLM/Windows Document Imaging Software at
PC Expo, Booth #3000

New Version Includes Image Annotation, Image Thumbnails, List Import,
Folder and Fax Print Options, and Duplex Scanning

NEW YORK, June 20, 1995--PC Expo, Booth #3000: Compulink Management Center,
Inc., will be demonstrating version 3.0 of its award-winning client/server
document imaging software, LaserFiche NLM/Windows. The new version offers
several user-requested enhancements, among them attaching "Sticky-Notes"
to images, and display of images in "thumbnail" format, making it very
easy to manipulate pages and split or merge documents. It also supports
true duplex scanning on highspeed scanners like the Ricoh IS-520. Bundled
with LaserFiche 3.0 is Sequoia Data's ScanFix Lite image enhancement
filter, which automatically deskews and despeckles crooked or dirty images
as they are scanned, improving OCR accuracy and reducing storage
requirements.

"Several LaserFiche users, especially in the legal community, asked for
these enhancements," said Chris Wacker, VP of Marketing at Compulink.
"They also wanted folder printouts and more flexible printing menus. As
Compulink is committed to continuously enhancing our software to stay on
the leading edge of technology, we listen to what our customers say.
Another feature, List Import, will allow our customers to easily import
thousands of images, text pages and index fields into LaserFiche from
outside sources such as incoming fax queues, external databases, and ASCII
text files."

"These new features are very important to our clients," said Jennifer
Tysse, Manager of Sales and Marketing at Matrix Imaging, a
Compulink-authorized reseller and one of the largest document imaging
service bureaus in Detroit. "We have been beta-testing the new version and
we're very excited about it. Now our clients can instantly print search
results or a list of all the documents in a folder, and Annotation allows
them to stick notes and comments to any page."

"I already know two of my big clients can take advantage of the new
document migration feature," continued Tysse. "They both have thousands of
pages in LaserFiche sitting on multiple magnetic
drives. With this new release they can just highlight the documents they
want and migrate them to any magneto-optical or WORM drive with a Click of
the mouse. In addition, as we have more and more
people switching over to LaserFiche; we will use the new List Import
capability to convert customers from other imaging systems."

LaserFiche version 3.0 has a fax print option, allowing users to easily
switch printing between the default printer and a network fax server.
Version 3.0 can export to several new file formats, including BMP, JPEG,
and CALS (US Government standard), and import over two dozen new file
formats, including Macintosh PICT, CALS, EPS (preview image only) and
Kodak PhotoCD.

LaserFiche document imaging has been selling since 1988, winning
LANMagazine's 1994 Imaging Product of the Year Award. LaserFiche NLM is
the only client-server imaging solution on Novell NetWare that includes
full-text search and an intuitive, easy-to-use GUI. Its client-server
architecture minimizes network traffic and delivers better data integrity
and faster search performance. In addition, the full-text search engine
uses fuzzy logic to insure that users will find the documents they want.

LaserFiche software is priced from $495 for a stand-alone, and the
client/server network version ranges from $3,495 for an Entry Pack to
$44,995 for a 100-user Corporate Pack. The software is available through
authorized resellers and distributors worldwide. Compulink Management
Center, Inc., which develops and markets network document imaging
software, is also a Novell professional developer. Compulink is
headquartered at 370 S. Crenshaw Blvd., Suite E-106, Torrance, CA,
Telephone (310) 212-5465.
