June 1995 -- Ergo Computing announces a notebook system that truly has it
all. The CD-Brick provides the most asked for features to make the best
ever multi-media presentation system. Featuring a 90MHz Pentium 3 volt
processor, 256k cache and up to 40MB RAM the CD-Brick also includes a
removable 525MB, 810MB or 1.3 GB hard disk with local bus interface, a
Chips and Tech 65545 accelerated graphics with 1 to 2MB video RAM
supporting a 10.2" Active Color or 10.4" dual Scan Color LCD. The Active
Color LCD supports True Color (16 Million) with either 640x480 or 800x600
resolution. The Dual Scan supports 65,000 colors at 640x480.

An internal 2x CD-ROM drive is accessible under the keyboard. Combined with
the optional MPEG motion video playback module and CD-quality audio with
two front mounted speakers, the CD-Brick is an impressive presentation
machine. There are two PCMCIA type ll slots for expansion, plus ports for
external SVGA monitor, serial port, EPP/ECP parallel port, SCSI port, plus
keyboard and audio line and mic in and speaker out. These would be
impressive specs for a desktop, but consider this is a notebook that can
be used anywhere and weighs but 6.6 lbs. Prices start at $3,495 for 8MB
system with 525MB Hard Drive and DSTN color. The same system but with
100MHz 486DX and 65,000 color LCD is available for $3,095.

The local bus graphic accelerator in the CD-Brick not only provides up to
16 Million colors at 800 x 600, or 65,000 colors at 1024x768 but it is
also auto-senses if an external monitor is connected. If it detects a
monitor it automatically runs windows in hi-res mode. If no external
monitor is connected, it runs Windows at 640x480 or 800 x 600 mode on the
10.2" active color or 640x480 on the 10.4" dual scan color.

All Ergo systems feature a 4 year GE warranty, the longest in the industry.
