Folio Corporation Now Shipping Folio Fusion Software Integrating Lotus
Notes Databases with Folio VIEWS Infobases

Complementary Technologies Help Organizations Leverage Their Investment in
Lotus Notes

New York, June 20, 1995 -- Folio Corp. today announced it is shipping Folio
Fusion 1.0 software that integrates Lotus Notes databases with Folio VIEWS
infobases. The new Folio product extends the value of a Notes investment
by giving users access from within Notes to any of the hundreds of
commercially published Folio infobases now available for accounting, law,
insurance, tax, pharmaceuticals and a variety of other professions. Folio
Fusion also makes it possible to hyperlink a Notes database and any Folio
infobase -- whether commercially published or internally produced. Notes
users can also use Folio Fusion to publish or archive Notes database
information on CD ROM.

Folio Fusion was developed at the request of Folio's largest corporate and
commercial publishing clients and in cooperation with marketing partner
GroupQuest Software, a leading provider of third-party Lotus Notes
applications and utilities.

"Folio Fusion bridges the gap between two very robust environments," said
Lisa Petrucci, president of GroupQuest Software. "The ability to link
between Lotus Notes and professional information from hundreds of
publishers is crucial in expanding the reach of Notes. Additionally, Folio
VIEWS customers can now leverage the collaborative capabilities of Lotus
Notes in their infobase publishing applications."

Integrating Published Infobases with Notes Databases

Many Notes users currently rely on commercially published Folio infobases
as their primary source of professional reference information on CD ROM,
diskette or through computer network distribution. Folio infobases are the
de facto publishing standard for reference materials used by accountants,
attorneys, insurance underwriters and tax consultants. For these people
and many others, using Folio infobases is an integral part their
professional life as they routinely access the standards, regulations and
laws under which they must conduct business.

"Now Notes users will be able to tap directly into the growing collection
of commercially available Folio infobases, easily integrate pertinent
reference material from these and other infobases into their Notes
databases, and produce and share research reports and business plans that
incorporate information from a variety of sources," said Ron Sanders,
product manager for Folio Fusion.

Folio Fusion Earns High Marks From Beta Testers and Business Partners

Scott Waterman, a consultant for Ernst & Young, LLP in Irving, Texas is
testing Folio Fusion in an application that also includes the recently
announced Folio Infobase Web Server. He said, "While we have several Notes
servers around the country, not everyone in the firm is licensed to run
the Notes client. To give people without Notes access to the information
in our Lotus Notes databases, we decided to use Folio Fusion and created
infobases of this information. We then placed the infobases on our
internal WWW using the Folio Infobase Web Server, and copies of the
infobases were also sent to the local technology coordinators. If users
have a web browser, they can access the infobases from any location in the
country through our enterprise network and dialup. If they do not have a
web browser, they can access the information on their LAN using Folio
VIEWS. Now, people not only have access to crucial business information,
they also have the ability to see how we as a firm are deploying emerging
technologies such as Folio Fusion, Lotus Notes, and the Folio Infobase Web
Server."

Brad Hoyt, a manager in the Technology Knowledge Organization at Price
Waterhouse LLP Management Consulting Services said, "We have seen a need,
both here and at client sites, to provide access to large amounts of
archived Lotus Notes information. It has proven difficult to combine
efficient archiving, particularly on CD ROM, with linkage from production
Notes databases. Folio Fusion seems to complement Notes' rich replication
and data store capabilities, while providing a means to archive, link and
distribute information in a medium optimized for CD ROM."

"Folio Fusion is an exciting and strategic product because it provides an
easy way for customers to build bridges between logical islands of
information," said Malcolm Greene, president of Lotus Professional
Developer and Folio Business Partner, Brooks Durham Software Development.
"The product is appealing to us because it significantly increases the
number and type of application scenarios that Folio products can
participate in."

"Folio Fusion streamlines the process of getting data out of Notes,
enabling us to use that data to publish CD-ROMs using Folio infobase
software," said Paul Barron, Supervisor Interactive Marketing, for
Powersoft Corporation. "Having this tool eliminates the need to write
custom export filters for each Notes database that we publish."
