FTG INTRODUCES NEW LIGHT PEN INTERFACE BOARD AT WINDOWS WORLD '95 ATLANTA

Stanton, Calif. -- April 24, 1995 -- FTG Data Systems will unveil its new
PXL-395 internal light pen interface card at WINDOWS WORLD '95 in booth
number 6514. FTG's new interface board represents the next technological
step in reducing size and cost of light pen systems while increasing
flexibility, convenience and reliability. The PXL-395 is the newest member
of FTG's Solution Series of light pen products.

The new PXL-395 is a half-size card that easily slips into any PC- or
AT-compatible slot. This interface board is based on a single custom logic
chip and is totally compatible with FTG's previous interface board - a
design which required 16 chips. By using a single integrated circuit for
all light pen logic, the PXL-395 runs cooler, emits less electronic noise
and requires much less board space. Fewer interconnections also enhance
reliability.

FTG has been able to lower manufacturing costs with this new design and
pass the savings on to the customer. The PXL-395 lists for $179 while its
conventional predecessor cost $199. The PXL-395 comes with a five-year
warranty, toll-free technical support and a 30-day money-back guarantee.

The PXL-395 includes a new version of FTG's Light Pen Support Software that
provides full Windows compatibility as well as a mouse emulation facility
for older DOS applications and a driver for AutoCAD. With this new
release, interrupt-level selection has been moved into software,
eliminating the need for an on-board jumper. Separate drivers are also
available for OS/2, Windows NT and most 3270 emulation software.

The new light pen interface board provides a pixel-level capability for
resolutions as high as 1024 X 1280 and the board can be used with EGA,
VGA, super-VGA, XGA and 8514-compatible display adapters. Higher
resolutions of up to 1600 X 2048 are supported by using multi-frame
averaging - a technique that greatly extends the PXL-395's resolution
range while still providing smooth tracking and fast response.

FTG's light pen interfaces are ideal for any computer user who needs fast,
reliable and high performance data input. In addition to the PXL395
internal board for AT-bus computers, FTG also offers interface products
for internal installation in MicroChannel PS/2 computers, external
attachment to any IBM-compatible PC, as well as versions for Macintosh
computers.

FTG Data Systems develops, manufactures and markets light pen products for
IBM-compatible and Macintosh personal computers. FTG also produces
graphics terminal emulation software for IBM PCs.
