INTEL INTRODUCES NINTH MEMBER OF PENTIUM PROCESSOR FAMILY

Fastest Desktop and Server Systems To Run at 133 MHz

SANTA CLARA, CALIF.-- June 12, 1995 -- Intel Corporation today announced
immediate availability of its fastest production microprocessor to date,
the Pentium Processor at iCOMP index 1110/133 MHz. Targeted for both
servers and high-performance desktop systems, the new product is the
second member of the Pentium processor family to be introduced in as many
weeks. This brings the family to nine versions in total with a variety of
price and performance points for different market segments. Two weeks ago
Intel introduced a 90-MHz Pentium processor for mobile computers.

The new processor is the second product to result from Intel's investment
in advanced 0.35 micron, 3.3 volt manufacturing technology and is expected
to be designed initially into high-end desktops and high-performance
servers. The 133-MHz Pentium processor delivers 155 SPECint92 and 116
SPECfp92 of performance -- more than twice the speed of the original
60-MHz Pentium processor introduced in March 1993.

"End users in business and home market segments are moving quickly to
systems based on the fastest Pentium processors," noted Carl Everett,
senior vice president, Desktop Products Group. "The industry is poised to
meet this demand for performance, and will be offering many choices among
133-MHz Pentium processor desktops and servers at or shortly after
introduction. Our investments over the last five years in new capacity and
technology are making hardware and software innovations possible, and the
PC user community is rapidly reaping the benefits."

Pentium processor revenues exceeded those of Intel486 processors in the
first quarter of 1995 and Everett said Intel is on track for the volume
run rate to cross over some time this year. He added that by the end of
the year, Intel expects most system vendors to be offering 75-MHz and
90-MHz Pentium processors at the entry-level of their product lines,
100-MHz and 120-MHz Pentium processors in the mainstream, and 133MHz and
even faster-performing processors at the high end.

In 1,000-piece quantities, the 133-MHz Pentium processor is priced at $935.
