J&L Announces ChatExpress-P120 Rackmounted Applications Server at PC Expo.

A rackmounted hot swappable applications server system that can save power
consumption, office space and improve server efficiency.

New York., June 19th. 1994 -- J&L Information Systems a division of Astro
Sciences Corporation, a leading manufacturer of communications and
applications servers, today announced the introduction of ChatExpress-P120
the latest in their ChatExpress family of rackmounted applications
servers.

"The ChatExpress-P120 is confirmation of J&L's continuing commitment to
offer our customers the most powerful rackmounted servers solutions
available today." said Rex Jackson Senior Vice President, He went on to
say, "With our new ChatExpress-P120 our users can 'clean up their server
act', by eliminating the need for separate stand-alone servers and replace
them with a compact 19" rack of SNMP managed redundant powered
ChatExpress's". The ChatExpress-P120 can be used, not only as a remote
access server, but also for the full range of corporate server needs,
including Main file, SQL, mail, fax, video, multi-media and database
servers."

The ChatExpress-P120 comes equipped with an 120MHz Intel Pentium, 256 KB of
second level write back cache a 296-pin Zero Insertion Force (ZIF) socket
to provide users with a path for Intel's' next generation P6 OverDrive
upgrades. The standard ChatExpress-P120 is being delivered with a minimum
of 8 MB of DRAM, but can be upgraded to 512 MB (pending availability of
128 MB SIMMS).

The hot swappable ChatExpress-P120 is equipped with a wide range of I/O
capabilities including two COM ports, one parallel port, and a local bus
IDE (Fast Mode 3). Insuring support for high speed IDE disk drives of a
Gigabyte or more. Each ChatExpress-P120 comes equipped as standard with
two bus slots, and can be configured to offer users either two PCI slots,
two ISA slots or one PCI and one ISA slot. The PCI slots accept PCI master
cards, fully supports the PCI specification, and runs at the 66MHz,
doubling the l/O performance bandwidth available to the ChatExpress user.

Up to seven ChatExpress-P120 complete with a floppy and hard disk drive and
NIC card can be fitted into J&L's ChatterBox 19" rack assembly. A total of
28 ChatExpress-P120 applications servers can be installed into a single 7
foot cabinet .

As with all of J&L's processing units, the ChatExpress-P120 supports
electronically shareable, video, keyboard, floppy disk drive and a mouse.
The ChatExpress-P120 also supports J&L's unique SNMP based remote
processing management technology. This technology insures when using J&L's
ChatView management software, then even if the network goes down a network
manager can interrogate the ChatExpress and even remotely reboot it from
anywhere on the LAN or WAN. All of J&L's remote communications
capabilities are incorporated in ChatExpress-P120 including J&Ls' patented
'Phone Busy' and 'Remote Hardware Reset' which ensures fail-safe remote
communications over dial-up circuits and lease line connections.

Pricing for the ChatExpress-P120 is $5,140.00 with 8MB memory and 256 KB
cache. Availability will be second quarter 1995
