OSC'S DECK II SUPPORTS POWER MACINTOSH 9500

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--June 19, 1995 * OSC, developers of the award-winning
DECK-II digital audio workstation software, have announced that they will
be supporting Apple's new Power Macintosh 9500 with DECK II version 2.5.

DECK II, the only Power Mac-native audio workstation software available
today, has already caused a fundamental paradigm shift in digital media
creation. It brings sound recording, editing and picture sync capabilities
that were formerly the exclusive domain of proprietary high-end systems to
affordable off-the-shelf computers. DECK II has been optimized for the
entire range of Power Macs, and requires no additional audio hardware or
sound card.

The sheer processing power of the Power Macintosh 9500 allows OSC to offer
significant performance enhancements in DECK ll version 2.5, including an
expanded playback track capacity, faster screen updates and better
QuickTime frame rates. DECK II version 2.5 will feature a package of new
in-line signal processing tools, many of which will run in real time on
the 9500.

Thanks to increases in clock speed, time-consuming processes such as file
conversions or- mix-to-disk operations will be dramatically faster on the
Power Macintosh 9500, compared to previous Macintoshes.

Apple's decision to outfit the Power Macintosh 9500 with rugged,
industry-standard RCA jacks for the audio input/output channels is also
winning a big nod of approval. Many users have expressed frustration over
the fragility and crosstalk associated with the 1/8" stereo minijacks
found on earlier Power Mac models.

OSC believes that the Power Macintosh 9500 will reinforce Apple's
long-standing position as maker of the computers-of-choice for musicians,
film/video producers and other digital media artists.

OSC's DECK II has the second-largest installed user base among digital
audio workstation products world-wide, and is used in thousands of
schools, businesses, home studios and garages, as well as professional
television, radio, film and music production facilities. Our high-profile
clients include National Public Radio's "All Things Considered," Johnson &
Johnson, the Residents, Paramount Interactive, LucasArts, Br0derbund and
CBS Television.

OSC is helping create an era where the line between 'professional' and
'hobbyist' is a blur. We're dedicated to bringing affordable high-end
production tools to those who will benefit most: End users, teachers,
musicians, home video fans; independent media producers and similar
individuals who are long on creativity, but short on funds.

Since 1988 OSC has worked towards democratizing access to the means of
production. Originally suppliers of core technology to Digidesign, OSC
were the first to release affordable digital multi-track software; the
first to release audio + MIDI Macintosh software, the first to utilize Mac
built-in AV-features in audio software, and the first to release real
Power Mac multi-track software. These are some of the reasons DECK won
multiple MacUser Eddy awards for best music and sound product.

DECK II version 2.5 is scheduled to be released in September 1995 at a
suggested U.S. retail price of $399.00. For more information on DECK II
