UNIQUE FAMILY of SCSI ISOLATOR-REGENERATORS

San Diego, CA -- Paralan, a leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of
SCSI enhancement products announces a new product family named the SCSI
Isolating RegeneratoR which inexpensively solves a number of problems
often encountered in SCSI systems. If the 6 meter single-ended or 25 meter
differential SCSI cable is too short, installing a RegeneratoR replicates
the SCSI distance and allows another 6 or 25 meter cable length by
completely regenerating, reshaping and retransmitting the SCSI signals.
Multiple RegeneratoRs provide multiple replications with no loss of
throughput If you have a need to remove or replace SCSI devices on the bus
without shutting down the system or affecting other peripherals on the bus
a Paralan RegeneratoR will provide the necessary isolation. When
installing 8-bit SCSI peripherals on a 16-bit SCSI system, a Paralan
16-bit RegeneratoR will ensure that unused bits are properly terminated
for error-free SCSI bus operation. All models are Ultra-SCSI compatible
for speeds up to 40 Mbytes/second.

There are eight models in the SCSI Isolating RegeneratoR family including
versions for 8-bit and 16-bit SCSI, single-ended and differential. All are
available as stand-alone units with a universal autoselect power supply
for 120/240 VAC, 50/60 Hz or board level products that require only 5 VDC
Single piece prices range from less than $150 to $695.

The Paralan Model SIR-D16 and SIR-D17 RegeneratoR for 16-bit FAST/WIDE
differential SCSI began shipping in April 1995. Other models will be
released soon For more information contact Paralan Corporation, 7875
