NEW SHARP WIZARD COMBINES POWERFUL ORGANIZING WITH FINANCIAL TRACKING FOR
PERSONAL AND BUSINESS USE

NEW YORK, June 20, 1995 -- Sharp Electronics Corporation adds convenience
and ease of use to the personal information organizer category with the
introduction of the Wizard OZ-5500. This unit provides a powerful money
management function designed for business users and financially conscious
consumers.

The new model includes a built-in set-up program with templates for ease of
use and out-of-the-box productivity. At only 6.3" (W) x 3.5" (D) x .72"
(H) and 9.3 ounces, it can easily be carried in a shirt or jacket pocket.

Financial Tracking

A powerful financial tracking program, Money Tracking, helps users track
their transactions in multiple accounts. Checking, savings, cash-on-hand,
Visa, American Express and similar accounts can easily be managed and kept
up to date. Users can obtain current balances by account, category or date
range. They can also rely on Money Tracking to keep personal and business
expenses separate.

"The Money Tracking feature on the OZ-5500 provides a convenient way for
consumers to maintain control of personal and business expenses, because
the lightweight Wizard is always right at hand in a purse or pocket," says
Mary Repke, director of marketing, Sharp Consumer Business Products Group.
'With an optional computer link, Money Tracking data can be exchanged with
Quicken or other financial programs."

Built-in Interactive Setup Program

To provide immediate benefit to first-time users of personal organizers,
the OZ-5500 set-up program provides a simple way to customize the unit by
providing built-in templates for recording personal, financial, contact
and other important information. Users are walked through a series of
interactive steps that help them become familiar immediately with the
unit's operation and full range of capabilities. During this process, they
are prompted to input personal data and preferences. Experienced users
wishing to bypass the set-up program may do so.

"Sharp recognized that customers don't always have the time or patience to
invest in wading through instruction manuals. As a result, many potential
users may miss out on valuable capabilities that electronic organizers can
offer," said Repke. "The OZ-5500's built-in set-up program addresses that
problem, helping users immediately get the maximum benefit from their
purchase."

Wireless Communications

Totally wireless communications through infrared technology allows users to
exchange Wizard information with other Wizard units. In seconds, data is
received and automatically stored in an electronic "In box" file for easy
reference.

Optional wireless adapters allow Wizard information to be transferred to a
PC or Macintosh computer (model CE-IR2) using Organizer Link software or
printed on a standard PC printer (model CE-IR1).

Additional Features

The OZ-5500 offers a 256K memory and a variety of powerful data and time
management features. In addition to standard organizer functions such as
Calendar, Schedule, Anniversary, Telephone, Memo, Outline and Home and
World Clock, the unit provides handy project management and database
software. A Calculator lets users perform traditional business
calculations such as Cost/Sell and mark-up, as well as standard calculator
functions.

A To Do function integrates advanced project management with the user's
schedule. Items are recorded with a description, priority, due date and up
to five additional user-definable categories. Unfinished activities are
automatically carried over to the following day; completed items can be
marked done and stored for future reference.

A User File function offers three databases, each containing 16
user-definable data fields. User Files can be customized to catalog data
for a variety of business or personal uses, such as a restaurant guide,
home inventory or A/V guide.

The OZ-5500 is powered by two AAA batteries, with a lithium back-up battery
allowing usage of up to five years. The product is expected to ship in
August; the suggested retail price is $289.
