SHARP OFFERS PROFESSIONAL LCD PROJECTION SYSTEMS TO MEET ALL PRESENTATION
NEEDS

MAHWAH, N.J. -- Sharp Electronics Corporation offers a full line of
convergence-free, high-performance LCD multimedia projectors and
projection panels for dynamic video or computer-based business
presentations.

LCD PROJECTORS

XG-E850U: The high performance XG-E850U computer/video LCD projector
delivers improved VGA and Mac II compatibility through wider scan
frequency range, and brighter and crisper images due to an in-line pixel
configuration. The projector offers bright projection with 600 lux. A Lens
Shift function minimizes "keystone" type effects.

Three active matrix TFT (Thin Film Transistor) LCD panels with 309,120
pixels per panel provide data resolution of 640 x 480 dots and video
resolution of 500 TV lines. The XG-E850U is available at a suggested list
price of $8,995.

XG-E650B Mark II: The XG-E650B Mark II is a brighter portable LCD
computer/video projector featuring 150 ANSI lumen (600 lux) performance.
Weighing 20 pounds and not much larger than a briefcase, the
high-brightness projector has direct VGA/MacII input/output and is among
the most fully featured, highest performing projectors at its price point.
It is also the only projector in its class equipped with a Power
Zoom/Focus retractable lens for flexible image size. The XG-E650B Mark II
is available now at a suggested list price of $7,295.

XG-H440U: The XG-H440 is a high-brightness, tabletop or ceiling-mountable
audio/video projector. It has user-replaceable 200-watt metal halide lamp
and computer-designed optical assembly provides 800 lux of brightness for
a crisp and exceptionally uniform video image. It uses three 3-inch LCD
panels with 112,320 pixels per panel (for a total of 336,960 pixel
elements) for 400 lines of resolution. The projector also offers a
built-in zoom and remote control and is available at a suggested list
price of $4,695.

XV-P15UP: A compact, high-brightness LCD audio/video projector weighing
only 13.6 pounds and measuring a sleek 14" x 8" x 13.5". The projector is
highly suitable for school use, corporate training or any application
requiring a high-brightness and solidly performing portable video
projector at an affordable price. A 125-watt metal halide lamp delivers a
luminance of 500 lux (at 40" screen size), offering exceptionally long
life and superior color rendition without any yellowish tint as is common
with halogen lamps. The XV-P15UP will be available in July at a suggested
list price of $2,495.

LCD PROJECTION PANELS

QA-2500: A high resolution (1,024 x 768) SVGA LCD projection panel and the
first panel to provide 24 bits of color for full color rendition and
saturation. It offers 1,280 x 1,024 image compression for superior image
display for graphic artists, software demonstrations, engineering
(CAD/CAM) and other professionals requiring uncompromising display
performance. The panel displays XGA, Super VGA, VGA and Mac II computer
images from PCs, Macintosh computers and many workstations and accepts
NTSC, PAL or SECAM video from built-in composite or S-video inputs. It
also has a universal power supply (100 - 240 volts AC) making it suitable
for worldwide use. The QA-2600 will be available in July at a suggested
list price under $10,000.

QA-1500B: The industry's first stand-alone LCD projection panel with
built-in PCMCIA memory capability. The 5.5 lb. data/video panel enables
executives on-the-go to give high-color presentations without a computer
or other input source on site. The panel is designed with an on-board slot
for a 105 megabyte Type III PCMCIA storage card. Each card stores up to
100 1.7-million-color computer and still video images (or 200 images in
4,096 colors), all of which can be easily sorted in up to five separate
presentations. An Auto Save Mode automatically names, edits into a
presentation and adds a default effect to each slide. Once stored in
memory, users can retrieve, sort and delete these images and make
"continuous play" self-running presentations without a computer. The
QA-1500B is available at a suggested list price of $4,695.

QA-1750: A fully featured data/video LCD projection panel that displays
Super VGA, VGA and Mac computer images, as well as composite and S-video
in more than 16 million colors. The digital video processing capability of
the QA1750 allows the panel to compress the high-resolution 800 x 600
input, or Super VGA, and display it in 640 x 480 resolution format for
high-end multimedia applications. The QA-1750 is available now at
suggested list prise of $5,495.

QA-1400: A 5.5 lbs. data/video LCD projection panel with a 1.7 million
color TFT LCD display. Featuring a high-performance, high-contrast LCD,
the QA1400 includes a wireless remote control with infrared learning'
capabilities and mouse control. The 640 x 480 panel is compatible with
virtually all popular Macintosh and IBM-compatible computers and is
equipped with monitor loop-through and rear projection capabilities. The
QA-1400 is available now at a suggested list price of $4,195.

QA-1200: A cost-competitive data/video LCD projection panel with a 1.7
million color TFT LCD display. A wireless remote control adjusts settings
for sound and image and enables presenters to switch freely between
computer and video sources. In addition, the remote permits users to
freeze images and zoom in on selected portions enlarging them to full
screen size. A built-in loudspeaker provides sound from both computer and
video sources and an optional slim backlight unit (QA-BL2) can convert the
QA-1200 into a direct view monitor, eliminating the need for an overhead
projector. Available now at a suggested list price of $4,195.

QA-350B: A color LCD panel with advanced dual-scan technology and a
suggested list price under $2,000, the QA-350B scans two lines at a time
(1/240 duty cycle) to offer fast response time, high contrast (26:1) and
true color reproduction (up to 512 colors) with improved color filtering
to enhance color saturation, transmissivity and uniform screen brightness.
It offers IBM platform compatibility with VGA, MCGA, EGA, CGA, MDA and
Hercules graphics and Apple compatibility with MacII, Quadra, PowerBook
and LC (including 12" and 13" monitors). The QA-350B's high transmissivity
and contrast ratio makes it unnecessary to use a costly metal halide
overhead projector. Excellent brightness and clarity can be achieved in
classrooms, conference rooms and lecture halls using standard "halogen"
overhead projectors (4000-6000 lumens). The QA-350B is available now at a
suggested list price of $1,996.
