TALX ADDS INTERNET ACCESS TO INTELLIGENT E-MAIL CAPABILITY

Allows Users to Search, Edit, Distribute Information Using Any E-Mail
Address

NEW YORK, NY, June 19, 1995 -- TALX Corporation today announced it has
added Internet access to its MailLink intelligent software. Users of TALX
interactive communications systems can use the Internet to create, send,
receive and reply to electronic mail messages, as well as access data,
expanding access beyond corporate e-mail systems and corporate LANs.
MailLink supports any e-mail address, including Compuserve, America
Online, and Prodigy and offers connectivity to Lotus cc:Mail, the world
leader in LAN-based e-mail, and Lotus Notes, the leading client/server
platform for developing and deploying groupware applications.

MailLink intelligently searches, interprets, edits and distributes
information stored in company databases. MailLink also combines voice
response, voice recognition and fax capabilities with e-mail to enrich
data and broaden access to it. For example, employees can call the TALX
system, speak an e-mail address, then retrieve the desired information
from e-mail or have it faxed as confirmation.

"Users are connecting to the Internet at the rate of thousands/day,
creating new opportunities to exchange information. The addition of
Internet access to our MailLink interactive software further opens
communications, giving IS managers and their customers yet another option
for getting and using data and allowing IS to use existing e-mail networks
to provide wider information access," said David Fowler, director of
product management, TALX Corporation.

"Electronic mail has become critical to effective communication. By linking
users to the information they need and allowing them to use cc:Mail, Notes
or the Internet to access it, TALX allows companies and their employees
operate more efficiently with the data they need to make decisions," said
Mike Zisman, vice president, communications business group, Lotus.

How MailLink Is Used

MailLink with Internet connectivity simplifies the exchange of data that
otherwise might be difficult to send or receive by telephone and allows
any user with an electronic mail address to access the systems any time.
For example, many companies require that employees enroll for benefits
through a TALX interactive communications systems. Using MailLink,
employees can enroll from home, check or change benefits programs, or
request that a periodic report on benefits be sent Other applications for
MailLink include account inquiry, time reporting, expense reporting, and
similar events.

MailLink can be used several ways:

* To initiate an event, such as changing an address;
* To confirm an event, such as the benefits you are currently
  enrolled for;
* To routinely send or receive information, such as open jobs
  postings or monthly reports.

TALXWare

TALXWare, a platform for building interactive communications applications,
provides access to information residing in databases and can be linked to
mainframes, minicomputers, client/server environments and individual PCS
by LAN. Voice response, text-to-speech, voice recognition, fax, electronic
mail and computer telephony capabilities allow users to access data by
telephone and computer remotely or on-site. Applications are generated
with the TALX award-winning EasyScript application generator. TALXWare
supports a number of commonly-used SQL databases and is integrated with
tools such as Intersolv Q+E.
