Target Technologies' new " C-Link" links C-Phone users with external
audio/video sources

New audio/video network interface demonstrated at PC EXPO

NEW YORK -- June 20, 1995 -- Target Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ-"CFON")
demonstrates this week at PC EXPO a new stand-alone device that pipes
virtually any audio/visual source to users of C-Phone, a desktop
videophone/video conferencing system. "C-Link," the latest peripheral from
the makers of C-Phone, plugs directly into the C-Phone network and
connects to any audio/video source, such as a VCR, camcorder, and
broadcast or cable TV. C-Link transmits the synchronized sound and video
to network PCs set up with the C-Phone hardware and software system,
linking C-Phone users with an array of audio/video sources.

Multiple C-Link interfaces can be connected to a variety of audio/video
sources. Users can independently, and simultaneously, select the tape,
television program, or live video recording they wish to view from any
connected source. For example, 50 C-Phone users can watch CNN all at the
same time.

C-Link recently started shipping at a suggested list price of $499 and is
available through Target Technologies' network of integrators,
distributors and value-added resellers.

"First, C-Link will impress attendees with its full-screen, TV-quality
picture and sound on a PC," said Daniel Flohr, chairman and CEO of Target
Technologies. "Then users will be absolutely amazed to learn that C-Link
transmissions don't interfere at all with the PC or network. "

High-Power Video Without Network Interference

Target Technologies' C-Link breaks the confines of other products' 1.5-inch
square video window running at six frames per second. C-Phone and C-Link
fill the PC display with 30 frames per second, TV-quality, full-motion
video with synchronized audio. And unlike other current PC video products
that may use up to 10 percent of network bandwidth and severely hamper
productivity, neither C-Phone nor C-Link affect network operations at
all.

"Why settle for CNN in a tiny corner of your monitor at eight frames per
second when you can have any channel, any tape, any scene you want fill
your screen at 30 frames per second without slowing your PC or network?"
asked Flohr.

"There are many practical business applications of C-Link," he continued.
"For example, C-Link can be used to link video surveillance cameras to
desktop users, enabling off-site managers to keep an eye on manufacturing
operations. Corporations may run instructional tapes continuously,
allowing multiple users to access the information at their convenience.
Because C-Link provides users access to a full array of A/V resources, it
will greatly expand the role desktop video conferencing plays in
day-to-day business operations."

Full-featured Phone System for Video Conferencing

C-Phone is a video PBX phone system that turns networked desktop PCs into
videophones complete with real-time, full-motion color video at 30 frames
per second and synchronized audio. The system enables users to make live
videophone calls from their desktop PCs to others connected on the
network. A video conferencing system as well, C-Phone allows users to make
calls over high-speed digital phone lines to remote sites. A hardware and
software video solution, C-Phone has a suggested list price of $1,995 per
PC.

Further enhancing functionality is the C-Phone Multipoint Controller (MCU)
which provides an interface that enables users to simultaneously view four
people on a video conference call or view an alternative video source on
one or more "windows." The four users can be on the network or calling
from remote locations. The C-Phone Multipoint Controller has a suggested
list price of $3,995.

Target Technologies' proprietary C-Sound, a screen-reflected audio
technique, creates the impression that the caller's voice is coming
directly from the face on the screen. Special circuitry minimizes
extraneous noise and eliminates echo. The system also permits audio and
video scrambling for security, and a lens cover provides privacy by
shutting off video capabilities.

An optional C-Phone H.320 CODEC server is available allowing users to share
this resource. With it, the C-Phone user can connect to the outside world,
to other video systems, to video conference rooms outside of the network,
or to any other brand of CODEC. Using either a V.35 interface or ISDN
(Integrated Services Digital Network) high-speed phone lines, calls can be
placed to other C-Phone networks or any other video conferencing equipment
using H.261/H.320 protocol. C-Phone may also be connected to a standard
television cable or antenna for viewing television channels throughout the
network.

The C-Phone software provides many standard telephone PBX features such as
caller ID, call waiting and hold capabilities. Callers may leave messages
attached to their photo-icon on the recipient's screen. These messages may
be played back, responded to, deleted or archived. In addition to two-way
calls, C-Phone's Broadcast Mode allows one user to send a video message to
multiple recipients.

C-Phone can be run in conjunction with whiteboard software programs. A
software developer's kit is available for writing routines in other
programs to support C-Phone hardware and enable C-Phone to be integrated
into other software packages.

System requirements include a 386 or higher personal computer, VGA card
with VESA feature connector and a VGA monitor. C-Phone runs under Windows
3.1 or higher with Novell Netware or LANtastic network operating systems,
on a NET BIOS-compatible network, or under Windows for Workgroups.

All Target Technologies' products are available through its network of
integrators, distributors and value-added resellers.
