Leading Consultants join forces to form TigerTeam

Firm to aid corporate MIS through Windows 95 migration

June 19, 1995, South Norwalk. CT -- Several of the nation's most noted
experts on Windows and network management have joined forces to form
TigerTeam a firm dedicated to smoothing corporate America's migration to
Windows 95 and Windows NT.

TigerTeam's products and services include seminars on Windows 95 and
Windows NT networking and migration planning, The Windows 95 Migration
Cookbook, a bi-monthly newsletter Moving to New Windows. TigerTeam's
flagship service is custom migration planning and implementation.

"Converting hundreds, or thousands, of workstations to a new operating
system can be an overwhelming task if not planned carefully" said Howard
Marks, TigerTeam's Chief Scientist. "TigerTeam was created to share our
accumulated knowledge about how to make Windows behave in the networked
enterprise."

The Windows 95 Migration Cookbook, is a 350 page volume that discusses the
advantages and disadvantages of each of the installation and management
options available for Windows 95. It also includes several suggested
configurations that optimize Windows 95 for specific design goals.

TigerTeam has spent months developing a process they call best practices
that results in a detailed migration plan for their clients. The process
starts with a team visiting the client's site to assess how they are
currently using Windows and what their goals are for the new installation.
Next, this information is combined with the research from TigerTeam's labs
that shows how Windows 95 and Windows NT can be optimized for
manageability, performance, security and other design goals. Finally,
TigerTeam integrates their experience with countless Windows integration
projects with the assessment and testing data to produce a custom
migration plan.

Migration plans include detailed instructions on upgrading workstations,
distributing applications and optionally customized end user training
materials that include the client's naming conventions, NetWare Directory
Services (NDS) and directory structures.

TigerTeam is a Microsoft Solution Provider.

TigerTeam will kick off their seminar series with Howard Marks presenting
Networking Windows 95 June 19, 1995 at PC Expo NY. The Windows 95
Migration Cookbook will be available in July for $395 which includes a 1
year subscription to the Moving to New Windows newsletter which is
currently available.
