Zenith Data Systems demonstrates new high-performance Pentium desktop
computers at PC EXPO

High-end systems offer unparalleled customization options

NEW YORK -- June 20, 1995 -- Zenith Data Systems (ZDS) is demonstrating at
PC EXPO this week its new desktop computer series, the Z-STATION GT.
Powered by Intel Pentium processors -- including the new, lightning-fast
120 MHz CPU -- these new Energy Star compliant, high-performance systems
feature PCI local bus technology and Flash-BIOS, offer S3 Trio 32- or
64-bit graphics controllers, capitalize on emerging standards including
DMI and DDC1, plus provide convenient Plug and Play compliance. In
addition, scalability allows end-users to configure their own customized
high-performance solution for the best value.

"Sophisticated PC users know what they can expect from a high-performance
desktop today, and that evolutions in technology must be anticipated,"
said Jeff Loebbaka, desktop product marketing director at ZDS. "The new
Z-STATION GT is designed to give them the peak performance they demand
today, plus provide a feature set that positions them to take advantage of
future technologies."

Z-STATION GT models start priced as low as $1,490. Configurations with the
75 and 90 MHz Pentium processors are available now through authorized
resellers. Z-STATION GT systems with the 120 MHz processor will be
available in June.

Unparalleled Performance

New Z-STATION GTs utilize the latest Intel Pentium processors and feature
Intel's Triton core-logic chip set. This chip set enhances Pentium
performance by maximizing throughput levels, and it supports extended data
out (EDO) DRAM, faster cache SRAM, and an enhanced PCI burst mode
performance.

The Z-STATION GT family complements the Pentium processors with a
high-speed 32-bit PCI local bus, which, when coupled with the onboard S3
Trio video, provides superior windows graphics performance and increased
expandability.

Large capacity enhanced IDE Mode 3 hard drives with fast data transfer
rates further boost performance.

Investment Protection

Designed with the future in mind, the Z-STATION GT family comes Desktop
Management Interface (DMI) ready with all of the hardware and client
system software necessary to fully comply within the DMI standard. This
enabling technology, when coupled with a network management application,
will allow for easier asset management and tracking, such as tracking
client hardware components and serial numbers, allowing software downloads
from remote servers, and fixing corrupted data files from a remote
server.

Providing another link to tomorrow, the new Z-STATION GTs also support
DDC1, the automatic synchronization capability for optimal video refresh
rates.

Full support of Plug and Play technology makes add-ins easy to install, set
up and self configure, positioning Z-STATION GT users to take advantage of
powerful operating systems such as Microsoft Windows '95.

Five open slots -- three 16-bit ISA and two 32-bit PCI -- allow users to
expand their systems to include data/fax modems, Ethernet or Token Ring
network cards, Sound Blaster cards, MPEG video cards and many other
options. Two open bays are ready for additional storage with a tape backup
or CD-ROM drive.

Options to Optimize Performance and Value

The Z-STATION GTs' range of options in CPUs, cache, RAM, video DRAM and HDD
sizes allows customers to build an optimally efficient and economical
system based on their particular performance needs and budget.

"Customers can create the perfect Z-STATION GT solution for them -- from a
disk-less network node to a high-powered multimedia machine," said
Loebbaka. "ZDS has made it as easy and economical as possible to take
advantage of the latest technology."

CPU options include the Intel 75, 90 and 120 MHz processors. For video, the
75 and 90 MHz models come with an on-board 32-bit Trio chip set from S3
while 120 MHz configurations come with a 64-bit S3 Trio chip set. Users
may select 1MB or 2MB of video DRAM for all configurations.

Z-STATION GT buyers may opt for no hard drive at all, or choose hard drives
from 425MB to 1.2GB, or 1GB to 2GB SCSI HDD. A quad-speed IDE CD-ROM drive
is also available, and users may decide not to have any write-back cache
memory, or to have 256K. RAM options span from 8MB to 128MB. Optional
TokenRing or Ethernet 10Base-2, 10Base-T and AUI connectors can make any
Z-STATION GT network-ready.

Preconfigured Models

ZDS is also offering several preconfigured Z-STATION GT models with the
most-requested features. One model includes the Pentium 75 MHz processor,
8MB RAM, 2MB video DRAM, 256K external cache, and a 425MB IDE Mode 3
capable hard drive for $1,999. The same configuration with a 90 MHz
processor is $2,374.

Another configuration adds a full complement of multimedia components,
including a quad-speed IDE CD-ROM drive, 16-bit Sound Blaster card,
speakers and microphone, plus Ethernet LAN connectivity to the 75 MHz
configuration above for $2,430. Multimedia and LAN connectivity built into
the 90 MHz system puts the total cost at $2,805.

The preconfigured 120 MHz system includes 16MB RAM, 2MB video DRAM, 256K
external cache, a 1.2GB IDE Mode 3 capable hard drive, a quad-speed IDE
CD-ROM drive, 16-bit Sound Blaster card, speakers and microphone, plus
Ethernet LAN connectivity for $4,562.

All new Z-STATION GTs equipped with hard drives come with the following
software preinstalled: MS-DOS, Microsoft Windows for Workgroups, PC Tools
for Windows and CoSession remote assistance software. Internet browser
dial-up access software is also included. Additional selections include:
Microsoft Office Professional with Bookshelf and Microsoft Encarta.

Technical Support and Warranty Coverage

Zenith Data Systems offers 24-hour, seven-days-a-week toll-free customer
assistance and product support. Z-STATION GT desktop computers are covered
by a three-year limited warranty for all parts and labor. This Z-CARE
coverage offers on-site, next business day service for the first year, and
carry-in service for the second and third year. All response commitments
are based upon commercially reasonable efforts, and all response times may
vary depending on availability and/or the nature of the service
requested.

CoSession remote assistance software is also pre-installed with all
Z-STATION GT models. When used with a modem, it enables a ZDS technical
consultant to provide dial-in analysis of a customer's computer.
