CYBERDREAMS INC., HAS RELEASED DARK SEED, WINNER OF THE 1993 SPA "CODIE"
AWARD, IN MACINTOSH AND MS-DOS CD-ROM VERSIONS

LOS ANGELES -- Cyberdreams, Inc., has released the Macintosh version of
Dark Seed, the adventure/role playing game. In addition, Cyberdreams will
release a CD-ROM version for MS-DOS based computers in February 1994. Dark
Seed won the 1993 SPA Excellence in Software Awards, also known as a
"Codie," for Best Fantasy Role Playing/Adventure Game.

Dark Seed, designed by Cyberdreams, is based upon the fantastic artwork of
Swiss surrealist H.R. Giger, who won an Academy Award for his designs in
"Alien." Dark Seed is unique in that Giger allowed his artwork to be used
for the software in a process where Cyberdreams artists scanned existing
paintings into the computer and then cut and pasted the art to construct a
biomechanical world. Dark Seed's adventure is made up of two different
worlds: the Normal World; and the Dark World. The biomechanical world,
also called the Dark World, makes up approximately 50% of Dark Seed.

The CD-ROM version of Dark Seed for MS-DOS based computers will feature the
added value of digitized speech through-out the game. Additionally, the
CD-ROM version will allow players to enjoy Dark Seed without taking up
precious hard drive space.

Dark Seed impressed not only consumers, but the entire entertainment
software industry.

Dark Seed won the 1993 "Codie" award, the software industry's highest
honor, which was bestowed by the Software Publisher's Association. Like
the movie industry's Academy Awards, the SPA Excellence in Software Awards
are won by winning the votes of peers within the industry. To win the
"Codie," Cyberdreams beat out such companies as MicroProse, LucasArts
Games, Access, Interplay, Origin, Sierra On-Line and others.

Cyberdreams worked to make Dark Seed one of the most graphically unique
computer games ever produced by transferring Giger's artwork to the
computer screen. Giger, who was approached several times, finally agreed
to lend his work under the terms that the game would use only higher
resolution graphics so the images would not have the "square and jagged"
look of other computer software. Giger's first comment when he saw the
game was, "It's beautiful!" He possessed some previous knowledge of
computer graphics capability and was very impressed with what had been
accomplished.

Giger's work during his career spans pen and ink drawings, oil paintings,
airbrush, sculpture, furniture, architectural and interior design
projects, as well as designs for several films, including Alien (for which
he won an Oscar), Poltergeist II and Alien 3. Dark Seed's graphics
include, among many others, clips selected from: Work No. 453 "N.Y. City
III" (straight); Work No. 350 "Hommage a Bocklin" (1977); and Work No. 251
"Li II" (1974).

Cyberdreams was formed in 1990 to create high quality entertainment
software for home computers and dedicated game systems. Cyberdreams has
niched itself by publishing games targeted to a twenty to forty year-old
audience focusing in the genre of serious science fiction.

Each product is designed, scripted and storyboarded by game play experts
and world famous artists, designers and writers from other media such as
H.R. Giger (Alien), Syd Mead (Blade Runner, Tron, 2010) and Harlan Ellison
(the most honored author in the world of imaginative literature) and Gary
Gygax (creator of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons). The products are then
developed by an expanding number of internal and external programmers and
artists and the final product is distributed worldwide through affiliated
label agreements.
