THE LONE CLONE

February 1994 -- Software developer, KNOZALL Systems, Inc. of Chandler, AZ,
announced a new version of NLMerlin, an automated task scheduler with the
programmed intelligence to make decisions. Using a scripting language very
much like QUICK BASIC, a network administrator can program NLMerlin to
carry out his wishes. Based on the commands, NLMerlin makes decisions to
distribute and schedule work, move data, manage database NLMs, automate
tasks, and handle problems as if the administrator were sitting at his
console.

Administrative, Server, and Client agents.

The Administrative Agent is an NLM that controls jobs on the server, as
well as distributes jobs to agents on other servers and workstations. The
Server Agents are NLMs loaded on servers other than the Administrative
Agent Server. They are multi-threaded to allow multiple processes to be
run simultaneously. The Server Task Agent has the ability to communicate
with any other agent that is active in the system. The Client Agent is a
TSR program loaded on a client workstation and accepts jobs from the
Administrative Agent and other Server Agents, and can communicate job
status in return.

New NLMerlin Features: Explanation:

I. Improved Front End.......... NLMerlin is easier to use.

                                   access to the workstations as
                                   well as the servers.

                                   on basic file structures and
                                   network objects.

                                   without displaying keystrokes
                                   to the console.

imagination.
