Revell-Monogram introduces third Power Modeler featuring aircraft

Revell-Monogram has announced the release of Operation Thunderstorm, the
third in its Power Modeler CD-ROM software line. It is scheduled to be in
stores in April.

Operation Thunderstorm combines an F-15E Strike Eagle model kit with
state-of-the-art multimedia software that shows you how to build plastic
models of four of the Pentagon's most advanced aircraft and lets you climb
into the cockpit and fly eight combat missions to protect and defend the
Novian Republic, which has just declared independence from Beluga, ruled
by the dastardly, yet daring, General Mosso. At your command are the F-15E
Strike Eagle, the AH-64A Apache Attack Helicopter, the F-14A Tomcat, and
the F-117A Stealth Fighter.

"Operation Thunderstorm combines 3-D polygon animation and graphics with
motion-picture video and high-fidelity sound effects and music to create
exceptionally great game play, whether you are shooting it out with jet
fighters or on a bombing run in the black of the night," said G. Carl
Pickard, senior vice president of sales and marketing, Revell-Monogram,
Inc.

The game features two different, and realistic combat missions for each of
the four aircraft. The missions range from flying deep behind enemy lines
to knock out Scud missile sites, to bombing bridges with laser-guided
bombs and flying sudden-death, air-to-air combat against jet fighters over
the ocean.

The model-building portion of the Operation Thunderstorm software features
step-by-step 3D instructions that show modelers exactly how each model
piece fits together - in the proper sequence and position. It also
includes "MTV-like" video vignettes that show modelers how to glue, paint,
and detail a model like a pro and shows how each aircraft looks when
painted in different colors.

Operation Thunderstorm can be played on any IBM compatible computer that
meets the Multimedia Personal Computer standards. It is scheduled to be
released for the Sega CD in November 1994.
