New PC-Based Spectrum Analyzer

Carman Enterprises announces its new DBA PC-based spectrum analyzer
software and turnkey spectrum analyzer systems.

Running under DOS or Windows, the DBA software mates the AT-A2150 dynamic
signal acquisition board to a PC tor use as a four-channel spectrum
analyzer. With the easy-to-use DBA GUI, you can effectively use the
PC-based spectrum analyzer under the pressures and constraints of field
service applications. You can also easily store, recall, and change
analyzer configuration settings. Configuration settings are automatically
saved each time you store data to disk, and then are automatically
recalled. You can use DBA software to write time-domain data to disk for
later analysis. The software has different display options for both time
and frequency domains. Graph cursors display the data numerically so no
graph scaling is required. You can display data in voltage or engineering
units. The DBA integrated help system and instruction manual offer useful
tutorials on data acquisition and analysis.

Carman also offers turnkey PC-based analyzer systems for approximately
one-third the cost of a comparable bench-top analyzer. A base system
includes a 386DX-40 MHz lunchbox portable computer, 4 MB RAM, 89 MB hard
disk, gray-scale VGA, keyboard, mouse, one AT-A2150 four-channel DAQ
board, the DOS version of DBA, and DOS 6.2. With more AT-A2150 boards.
Carman can build custom systems with as many as 20 input channels.
