ENTERPRISE SOLUTIONS LIMITED ANNOUNCES ACQUISITION OF ALPRANGE
COMMUNICATIONS LIMITED

Integration of U.S. and U.K.- based companies seen as instrumental in
worldwide expansion and continued explosive growth of X.400/X.500
messaging market

(Stockholm; 14 June 1994)--Enterprise Solutions Limited (ESL), with
headquarters in Westlake Village, California, a provider of complete
X.400/X.500 messaging solutions, announced today at the conference of the
European Electronic Messaging Association (EEMA) the acquisition of
Alprange Communications Limited, based in Alton, Hampshire, U.K. Alprange
is an independent software house specialising in communications technology
and OSI software products. The company has successfully integrated OSI and
EDI products to provide effective business solutions to corporate and
government users and IT manufacturers.

ESL has delivered and installed complete messaging solutions which include
both X.400 and X.500, as well as administration tools and add-on
components such as calendar/scheduling, document interchange, document
viewer and printer, and security. ESL has found a great deal of success
with both commercial users and government agencies who want a messaging
system which delivers, manages, and controls the information flow across
the enterprise, including the sending of personal mail. Customers such as
Wal-Mart, Department of Defense (DOD), National Aeronautics and Space
Administration (NASA), and a U.S. intelligence agency have chosen an X.400
native solution from ESL to provide this.

Michael Lyons, Chairman of Alprange, said "Alprange and ESL products
together provide the most comprehensive set of proven OSI client/server
products currently available. Our combined market share and worldwide
client base will give us the critical mass to rapidly increase our
penetration of the market at a time when major prospective users are
looking to acquire their OSI products from a single source."

P7 Protocol

The X.400 P7 protocol gives optimum communications capabilities while
minimising the cost of data transfer by allowing selective access to
messages. The Alprange User Agent (UA) and Remote User Agent (RUA)
products give P7 protocol access to 1988 X.400 Message Stores to send and
receive electronic mail.

Alprange UAs are currently available under MS-DOS, Windows, OS/2 and SCO
UNIX, and can support X.25, asynchronous PSTN dial-up and X.28 PAD
connectivity. They provide Inter Personal Messaging Services (IPMS) using
Windows, UNIX character, and MS-DOS character GUI screen-based operations.
The Alprange UAs will be integrated with Enterprise Solutions Mail
products to provide an unprecedented level of flexibility and
user-friendly, easy-to-learn user interfaces which work with 20 different
Message Stores.

Asynchronous Protocol Specification (APS)

Alprange is a founding member of the APS Alliance, and is active in
promoting asynchronous standards. The company was awarded the contract by
the APS Alliance to develop the APS protocols, and has incorporated these
new protocols into the Alprange product line. These APS protocols will
also be integrated into the Enterprise Solutions Mail product series.

Significant worldwide customer base

Alprange has a large number of OEMs and corporate clients throughout the
world. ESL also has a large worldwide base of customers -- corporate,
government, and OEM. According to Karl Klessig, Enterprise Solutions'
founder and president, "The integration of the two companies gives ESL an
established base from which to expand further in Europe and the UK, while
increasing activities in the rest of the world including North America,
Central and South America, and the Pacific Rim. The integration of the ESL
and Alprange product lines increases our competitive edge over LAN-based
products and other X.400 solutions."

Overview of Products

In addition to the User Agents, Alprange has developed a number of end-user
OSI software products for seamless connectivity between WANs and LANs.
Through licensing agreements to incorporate third party EDI packages with
their OSI products, Alprange has developed EDIMail, which integrates their
RUA and an EDI translator, providing P7 access for IPMS and EDI
transactions supporting EDIFACT, ANSI X.12 and Pedi (X.435) features.

With full X.400 on the desktop and a mixture of computer systems from
different suppliers, Enterprise Solutions Mail enables users to establish
a mixed heterogeneous environment. This isn't possible with proprietary
mail products. Enterprise Solutions X.400/X.500 mail and messaging
products include X.400 UAs and RUAs for multiple user interfaces, full
X.500 Directory Services, complete Mail Administration, a 1988
multiprotocol X.400 Message Transfer Agent (MTA), and a number of add-on,
mail-enabled workflow applications.

capability for the Home Office as well as for the movement of all
information to and from more than 2,300 stores, all their primary vendors,
and Wal-Mart's international operations.

Alprange was founded five years ago and has developed a substantial
customer base, including clients such as BACS, Telekurs, SWIFT, Universal
