Intersystem Concepts Announces Release of Everest Authoring System for
Windows

Columbia, Maryland -- June 23, 1994

Today, Intersystem Concepts, Inc., announced plans to release its Everest
Authoring System for Microsoft Windows this August. Everest is an
interactive multimedia development tool for creating Computer-Based
Training (CBT), performance support systems, kiosk applications and
presentations.

Everest is the only authoring system with extensibility: the ability to
enhance the authoring environment via third-party add-on component
objects. Everest can employ .VBX files from Microsoft, Borland, Autodesk,
FarPoint, MicroHelp and many other companies to increase functionality in
areas such as multimedia, databases, spreadsheets, graphics, interaction,
etc. This feature gives developers unlimited power and flexibility to
create professional projects.

Everest offers a multi-level, object-oriented authoring approach: visual
drag-and-drop, icon screen flowcharts, as well as the Apex3 programming
language (similar to Basic). Developers can mix usage of the authoring
levels to the degree that suits them best. For complex projects, Everest
can call DLLs as well as routines written in Visual Basic and C++.
Everest's unique import feature provides multiplatform capabilities by
letting developers edit projects created with the Intersystem Concepts'
Summit Authoring System (for DOS and Windows).

For a limited time, Everest is available at a pre-release price of $1995
(afterward, the price will be $4395). There are no royalties or additional
run-time fees; initial technical support and updates are free.

Intersystem Concepts is now in its 10th year of developing authoring
systems.
