GENIE'S NEW WINDOWS FRONT END FACILITATES ONLINE AND OFFLINE USAGE

ROCKVILLE, MD, June 20, 1994 -- GEnie announced today the commercial
availability of its Windows Graphical User Interface (GUI) which enables
users to navigate their way throughout the system quickly and easily. 
GEnie subscribers can use the service by means of a series of colorful
icons that guide them through GEnie's extensive software libraries,
communications services and the hundreds of RoundTables* available
online.

The Windows Front End has a variety of tools that make GEnie easy to use
including the following features:

o The To Do Manager allows users to select files for
  downloading and store them in a filing cabinet for action
  later
o The Filing Cabinet enables users to perform specific tasks
  offline
o The built-in Text Editor simplifies the creation of mail
  messages
o The Address Book Editor allows users to store commonly used
  email and Internet addresses and fax numbers
o The Automated Locate/Notify  function enables users to quickly
  identify other GEnie subscribers currently online regardless of
  their location

The new Windows Front End enables GEnie subscribers to manage their online
usage more effectively by preparing mail messages and browsing through
file descriptions offline. It also provides users with an option to select
files in software libraries and store them in the To Do Manager for
downloading in one batch at the end of the online session.

The new Windows Front End is available online or users can request a free
disk and welcome kit by calling GEnie Client Services at 1-800-638-9636.
Subscribers can download the GUI by typing M1465 or the keyword, FRONTEND,
at any GEnie Page prompt.
