ProtoView Announces ProtoView Interface Component Set (PICS) Custom Control

Dayton, NJ--May 31, 1994--ProtoView Development Co. announced today the
release of the ProtoView Interface Component Set (PICS), version 1.0. This
versatile set of VBX and DLL custom controls provides superb data entry
capabilities and polished user interface objects.

PICS offers sophisticated controls for date/calendar, time and numeric
input using your choice of tachometer, LED readout or normal display. Add
to that a slick looking gauge control, multidirectional spin buttons,
stereo volume control, a powerful hierarchical listbox and icon buttons.

The package includes Borland ObjectWindows Classes and methods to interact
with all the components in the ProtoView Interface Component Set. Also,
the Microsoft Common Dialogs are provided with the Borland custom control
look. There are font selection controls for toolbars and, for Visual Basic
users, the Date/Calendar, Time, and Numeric controls are bound controls.

outstanding Windows applications".

PICS version 1.0 features

* Hierarchical list box with multiple sort levels, bitmap
  graphics for each hierarchical level and numerous styles
  for colors and font.
* Date/Calendar control allows full graphical calendar selection
  and formatting of various date values. Just click on the
  calendar icon to display all dates of the year to select from.
* Time control allows full graphical 24 hour time selection and
  formatting with various styles.
* Numeric edit control allows picture masking and scientific
  notation formats for numeric input. Display styles include LED
  readout, counter, and normal.
* Percent Bar control displays the percent complete status of an
  on-going process.
* Volume Dial control allows the user to turn a knob-like stereo
  volume control to increase or decrease a parameter.

Other PICS version 1.0 controls with additional enhancements include: a
Multi-directional arrow control, a versatile push button control and icon
button controls.

The price for PICS version 1.0 is $249.95 with an introductory price of
$149. The source code version for PICS version 1.0 is available at the
price of $495.00 with an introductory price of $349. Applications created
using the ProtoView Interface Component Set may be distributed royalty
