SPORT ACCOLADE LINES UP THE REAL PLAYERS FROM THE MLBPA FOR ITS NEW
HARDBALL III SUPER NINTENDO BASEBALL GAME

Category: Baseball Simulation
Price and Availability: Super Nintendo, $69.95

SAN JOSE, CA - July 11, 1994--Sport Accolade, the brand name label for
Accolade's sports products, today announced the release of HardBall III
for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Recognized as the best line
of baseball games on the market today, HardBall III features 700 real
players from the Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA)
complete with their photos and 1993 season ending statistics viewed in a
familiar baseball card format. These players represent teams from all 28
major league cities in all 28 authentically rendered big league ballparks.
HardBall III will sell at a suggested retail price of $69.95.

HardBall III continues to build on its legacy, by providing consumers with
a baseball game that is fun to play, statistically correct, realistically
modeled, and graphically superior to any other baseball game for the SNES.
It is a one or two player game in which players can compete in exhibition
games, a 13, 81 or 162 game season with an All-Star game and culminate in
playoffs (if necessary) and league and world championship.

Using the password save feature, players can save a season and league or
world championship in progress. The product also offers "team effort" play
where your teammates will actually back you up during a play. The 28
accurately rendered major league ballparks include such authentic
characteristics as the correct distances to walls, and foul territories.
Players can select from two different ballpark views, the perspective of
the pitcher or the batter.

HardBall III can be customized in a variety of ways. Gamers can modify
individual player attributes for two complete teams using the player and
pitcher editors. Using the player editor, gamers can determine the running
speed, batting skill, base stealing ability and arm strength or
individuals, just to name a few. With the pitcher editor, gamers can
assign each pitcher four different pitch types from a selection of eight
that are available in the game. Pitcher stamina, throwing accuracy and
speed with which pitches are delivered can also be adjusted. Using the
team editor, players can create customized team logos and change the color
of the uniforms and caps and can also customize their fielder positions
for any situation.

The VCR-like "Instant Replay" feature provides players with the opportunity
to save key plays to a highlight reel for later viewing. In the Practice
Cage, players can test their batting skills or challenge a friend in the
Homerun Derby.

The video game and computer versions of the HardBall! line of products are
the most successful baseball simulations of all time, together having sold
more than a million copies.
