The Mac65 Interface -- Science through Computers

The Mac65 is an all new, low cost interface that will connect your
Macintosh computer to the real world. The Mac65 plugs into the Macintosh
SCSI port to achieve fast, real-time data transfer to the computer. The
interface accommodates 4 digital sensors (sampled at 10,000 times/sec) and
3 analog sensors (sampled 100,000 times/sec for one analog channel).
Digital sensors include a photogate, laser switch, pulley timing system,
ultrasonic motion sensor and a Geiger counter. Analog sensors measure
voltage, force, light, temperature, sound, pH, magnetic field strength,
light absorbance (colorimetry) and heart rate.

With the Mac65, a Macintosh can emulate lab equipment such as: a digital
voltmeter, electronic stopwatch, light meter, radiation counter, a triple
trace storage oscilloscope and more! Combine the optional Power Amplifier
with the Mac65, and your Macintosh becomes a power supply (+ 10V up to 1
Amp) or a function generator (up to 5kHz).

The Mac65 Science Workshop software manipulates data using a variety of
features:

* displays up to three data sets on a single graph
* one-click autoscaling fits data to available graph space
* statistics tools linear fit, integration, histogram, fast
  Fourier transform, mean, maximum, etc.
* smart cursor identifies points on a graph.

The software follows all Apple guidelines for Macintosh/User interactions
and requires 1 Mb of RAM (2Mb recommended for System 7, 4Mb on a color
monitor).

Perfect for the school science lab, the Mac65 comes bundled with a floppy
disk containing 50 science experiments.
