Electronic Arts presents SPACE HULK
Now Available for IBM CD

SAN MATEO, Calif., June 24, 1994 -- Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: ERTS)
announces the release of Space Hulk, for IBM CD. Space Hulk is the first
fruit of Electronic Arts' Warhammer 40,000' system license from Games
Workshop. Space Hulk was originally a 3-D role-playing board game, and has
developed a cult following all over the world.

The original floppy version of Space Hulk won Computer Game Review's 1993
Golden Triad Award.

The player is placed in command of Terminator Marine Squads facing a
desperate battle against an Alien Genestealer infestation in a huge
derelict Space Hulk. Genestealers are the very epitome of nightmares - a
ferocious mass of teeth and claws clad in a chitinous armour. Unable to
breed with each other, they choose to infect other species. Their
offspring aim to infiltrate Human society, seeking positions of power from
which to strike at humankind.

Terminator Space Marines are the finest warriors that Humankind has ever
seen. A squad must be selected and briefed, then fitted with weaponry and
hardware such as tactical Dreadnought Armour, Stormbolters, Power Gloves,
and Heavy Flamers. Strategies must be planned in advance on a scrolling
map, before the player takes his Marine Squad into 3-D Real Time combat.
Imperial, Warped Bio-Hulk and Ice/Asteroid Hulk locations are all to be
neutralized, based on the original Games Workshop designs.

The player has visor-views of his five marines, and can take control of
each as deemed necessary. Marines can be placed to guard corridors or
doorways, or seek out and destroy the Alien Genestealers. Exploration of
the corridors requires strategic thought and fast reflexes. this is where
the game's atmospheric graphics and sound effects come into their own.

Stalking through seemingly-deserted corridors while hearing colleagues over
the intercom being systematically taken apart by Genestealers definitely
gets the adrenaline flowing. Coming face to face with a fully animated
Alien is not an attractive proposition. The player never knows what may
lie around the next corner...
