STEREOGRAPHICS CRYSTALEYES PC WITH AVATAR'S VRTRADER SOFTWARE TRACKS STOCKS
IN 3D STEREO

100 Stocks, Simultaneously Displayed on Windows PCs In Real Time Response
To Major Stock Market Action

San Rafael, CA -- July 25, 1994 -- StereoGraphics Corporation, the world's
largest supplier of three-dimensional electronic stereo display equipment,
announced that its CrystalEyes PC System, running Avatar Partners new
vrTrader for Windows software, will enable professional securities traders
to track real-time and delayed (15-minute) quotes on more than 100 stocks
and market indices from a choice of more than 9,500 issues listed on the
AMEX, NYSE, and OTC exchanges.

Stocks (displayed on an optional stereo-ready monitor) are projected onto a
matrix resembling a playing field with each security represented by a
three-dimensional pole to provide user-friendly visualization. The stocks
change colors with buying and selling opportunities, lengthen and shrink
according to trading volumes, and alert the user by spinning, blinking or
beeping when they reach a predetermined price or are the subject of a
recent news report.

"Financial professionals often make split-second decisions which can have a
tremendous monetary impact," said Wil Cochran, StereoGraphics' vice
president of sales and marketing. 'A color, 3D stereo display of
securities as real-time, responsive, three-dimensional graphics makes it
easy to detect subtle market changes which might otherwise be overlooked
among endless streams of numbers.'

vrTrader for Windows runs on any 386, 486 or Pentium-based system equipped
with Microsoft Windows and a minimum of eight megabytes of memory. Audio
alerts require an optional sound card.

"vrTrader makes it easy to effectively manage a very large portfolio," said
Peter Rothman, managing partner for Avatar Partners, Boulder Creek, CA.
"It represents the first real attempt to take virtual reality down to the
Windows level with a commercially available business application selling
for less than $500."

The software is available for $495 and is currently exclusively available
with Data Broadcasting Corporation's (DBC) Signal Service, which provides
real-time or delayed quotes via FM, cable television or satellite
broadcast.

CrystalEyes PC converts a non-stereo-ready PC (using a stereo-ready
monitor) into a powerful graphics platform for true 3D stereo
visualization. The product gives stereo depth to on-screen images, which
dramatically increases the user's ability to analyze complex graphics and
intricate details.

CrystalEyes PC works with most popular desktop system platforms, including
IBM PCs and compatibles, Apple Macintosh, Power Macs and Power PCs, and
Amiga computers. It includes the patented CrystalEyes shuttering liquid
crystal eyewear and combines stereo electronics and an infrared emitter
into a single small package which sits on top of the monitor. A single
cable ensures easy installation without opening the computer. The
CrystalEyes PC Model CE-PCE is available at $985. StereoGraphics markets
its products domestically through OEMs and resellers, and internationally
through distributors in Europe and the Far East, including Japan, Hong
Kong and Korea, as well as the rest of the world.
