AVAIL SECURES NEW FUNDING TO FUEL GROWTH

Boulder, Colorado - July 28, 1994 -- Avail Systems Corporation today
announced the completion of $3.4 million in additional funding secured
from current shareholders and a new investor, Euclid Partners, a major New
York City venture capital firm. Proceeds will finance an acceleration of
Avail's business plan, plus add capabilities to develop new products for
an expanding customer base. Avail's NetSpace software is gaining
recognition as the standard for storage management on PC LANS, primarily
among storage hardware manufacturers and corporate sites.

Euclid Partners has been an active venture capital investor in technology
based businesses since its founding in 1970. Euclid is recognized in the
venture capital industry for its active involvement with its investments
and its expertise in the areas of software, communications and information
technology. Bliss McCrum, General Partner of Euclid Partners, joins
Avail's Board of Directors. Currently the Board includes Jesse Aweida of
Aweida Ventures, Chairman, Standish O'Grady of Hambrecht and Quist, David
Dodd, Chief Technology Officer and one of Avail's founders, and Robert
Wight, President and CEO.

Robert Wight welcomed Euclid Partners, "We are excited to have Euclid join
as a member of Avail. Both our financial relationship and business
partnership will afford Avail the opportunities to lead our market for the
foreseeable future."

"Euclid Partners is confident that Avail has a bright future," said Bliss
McCrum, "Avail's software is recognized as leading in the emerging network
storage management market. Their market presence is steadily growing and
they have assembled a capable, experienced management team to carry them
forward."

Avail NetSpace automatically manages network data on various storage
peripherals, such as hard disks, tape libraries and optical jukeboxes, to
optimize cost of storage and data access time. This system provides
management of network files at a fraction of the cost of conventional
network storage.

Avail is the first to develop hierarchical storage management software for
Novell networks. Since the product's introduction in July, 1993, Avail has
received many accolades, including ranking as a "rising star" in the PC
industry by Upside Magazine and Computer Technology Review's Reseller's
Choice Award (June '94). Avail's software has also garnered industry
awards for technical excellence and for outstanding new storage product.

Avail Systems Corporation, founded in 1991, is a privately held
corporation.
