STEREOGRAPHICS CRYSTALEYES EYEWEAR Now SUPPORTED BY AUTODESK'S NEW
CYBERSPACE DEVELOPER KIT 2.0 FOR DESKTOP VR

Combination Now Linked for Affordable, Broad Range of PC-based VR
Applications Including Modeling, Rendering, Animation and Games

San Rafael, CA -- August 1, 1994 -- StereoGraphics Corp. today announced
that its CrystalEyes eyewear is now supported by Autodesk Multimedia
Division's new Cyberspace Developer Kit (CDK) release 2.0. StereoGraphics
is the world's largest supplier of three-dimensional electronic stereo
display equipment and the leading 3D enabler to a diverse and broad
imaging universe.

CrystalEyes fits well with CDK 2.0'S extensible open architecture, as the
eyewear is broadly applicable to the wide variety of desktop VR markets
addressed by CDK, and used by architects, engineers, designers and game
developers. CDK offers superior functionality for creating and
manipulating 3D objects, and also makes it easy to import and export
geometric models from popular programs like AutoCAD and 3D Studio -- all
in stereo.

As comfortable and convenient as a pair of glasses, lightweight CrystalEyes
produces a true 3D image used with projection screens and computer
monitors. Multiple CDK users can simultaneously enter the desktop virtual
world wearing the patented CrystalEyes shuttering liquid crystal eyewear.

Kevin Yurica, CDK product manager for Autodesk's Multimedia Division, said,
'There is a natural affinity between CDK release 2.0 and StereoGraphics'
industry-standard CrystalEyes eyewear. CDK was designed to facilitate the
delivery of VR technology to the desktop for a broad range of practical
applications, and CrystalEyes pioneered lightweight eyewear for VR
environments -- an obvious match.'

This major upgrade of Autodesk's award-winning CDK tool set for 3D
visualization and simulation supports Windows NT/32S and texture mapping
capabilities. CDK 2.0 also offers rendering solution independence, tighter
integration with Autodesk's 3D Studio, plus support for DLLs, sound card
and a raft of new input and output devices.

Wil Cochran, StereoGraphics vice president of sales and marketing, noted
the growing convergence of VR and desktop PCs. 'The availability of
powerful and popular VR tool sets, like CDK 2.0, along with declining
hardware and eyewear cost, is expected to open up large-volume markets for
StereoGraphics' 3D products. This is particularly exciting for game
developers.'

3D stereo to improve and dramatize viewing for a broad and diverse user
universe. As comfortable and convenient as a pair of glasses, CrystalEyes
products provide stereo viewing for scientific visualization, animation,
medical imaging, surgical endoscopy, molecular modeling, computer games,
photogrammetry, location-based entertainment, motion simulation,
inspection systems, remote vehicle control, flight simulation, corporate
presentations and all types of education and training.
