PROVO, Utah, July 29, 1994 -- Folio Corporation, the world's leading
developer of infobase technology, has announced the first recipients in
its new international award competition designed to recognize leaders
within the infobase industry. At a gala banquet during its Infobase '94
conference in Salt Lake City, Folio announced the winners of its first
annual Folio Infobase Technology awards.

Folio Infobase Technology awards were given in ten categories which
recognized excellence in the development of infobases as a strategic
information management tool for businesses, governments and educational
institutions throughout the world.

Winning infobases were chosen for their impact on the market in which they
are used, for their use of Folio Infobase Technology and for their
innovative approaches to the management of large amounts of critical
information. Individuals and organizations who received awards were chosen
for their dedication to infobase technology and their unique contributions
to the advancement of its understanding and acceptance.

Folio Corporation reviewed candidates from around the world- during the
nomination and selection process. The list of nominees was narrowed to
four finalists in each category from which the award recipients were
chosen by committee vote.

According to Bill Bennett, Folio's vice president of marketing and sales,
"We are honored to count as friends, partners and business associates the
nominees and recipients of these first annual Folio Infobase Technology
awards. Each finalist and winner has shown outstanding innovation, pursuit
of excellence and leadership while using Folio Infobase Technology to
create new information solutions for their organizations. The awards
recognize those who have helped the infobase industry achieve its
