PRENTICE HALL'S FORMSOURCE ADDS CALCULATIONS AND VERSIONS FOR NETWORKS AND
WINDOWS

ATLANTA, August 19, 1994 -- Prentice Hall Professional Software today
announced the enhancements featured in the 1994 version of FormSource, the
company's CD-ROM tax forms service. This release includes calculations, a
convenient search feature and new hot keys to tax tables. This year will
also mark the introduction of a version for Windows, as well as for
networks. FormSource is a complete CD-ROM tax forms library, delivering
more than 3,200 federal and state tax-related forms, including
instructions.

"After a successful first year for FormSource, we're enhancing the
functionality of the system based on customer feedback, as well adding the
technology improvements they have requested," said Tax Products Manager,
Eileen M. Lichtenfeld, CPA.

New Calculations and Search Feature Place a Priority on Time-Savings

All 1994 forms will automatically perform basic arithmetic within each
form, resulting in greater time savings for accountants when entering
data. The system will also allow users to override the calculations to
ensure complete control. (Note that data will not transfer between
forms.)

Locating a form will be faster with FormSource's new search feature. For
example, accountants can access a form by simply entering the number. Or,
if users are not sure of the number, they can just enter key words found
within the title and FormSource will automatically find it for them.

Line-by-line links to the government instructions, plus new hot-key access
to tax tables (where applicable), make reference fast and easy with the
1994 version of FormSource. Other features include the ability to save
client data, plus retrieve client and preparer information for use in
multiple forms, and screens that show the full width of the forms. Five
releases throughout tax season ensure timely updates.

Availability, Support and System Requirements

The list price for FormSource is $495. The initial release of the 1994
version is slated for December 1994. The system needs an 100%
IBM-compatible 386 or higher processor (3 1/2" HD disks only), ISO 9660 or
High Sierra format CD drive, a VGA or SVGA color monitor, and an HP
LaserJet series II or above laser printer. The DOS version of FormSource
requires 2MB of RAM, DOS 5.0 or higher, and 2MB disk space. The Windows
version requires 4MB of RAM, Windows 3.1, and 4MB disk space. FormSource
supports Novell and Lantastic networks.
