TAMPA BAY August 1st, 1994 -- The new hypermedia OS/2 magazine, OS/2
Personal, was uploaded to online services and the internet today.

The magazine is available in four formats:

     o VGA OS/2 INF format (op101a.zip),
     o SVGA OS/2 INF format (op101b.zip),
o Windows Help format (op101c.zip) and
o Windows Multimedia Viewer format (op101d.zip).

"There was a demand for multiple formats" commented Jules Allen, Publisher
for OS/2 Personal. "I've received a lot of mail concerning OS/2 Personal
and I think we're delivering what people want." he continued. "As we're
totally electronic, we can deliver up to the minute news hours before
press -- for example, the rather amusing sight that is greeting attendees
at Chicago's Windows World right now is on our 'front page'."

IBM PSP Chief Lee Reiswig opens the issue with his letter to OS/2 users and
developers world wide. This first issue of OS/2 Personal covers important
events such as the recent OS/2 World Show in Santa Clara and the arrest of
a virus writer in Europe. First impressions of DeScribe 5.0 and the
world's first V.34 modem are included as well as recent events surrounding
Microsoft's legal wranglings with the Justice Department. Readers
completing the readership survey have the chance of winning a copy of
DeScribe 5.0.
