Knowledge Adventure and Instinct Corporation Debut Magic Theatre

Program lets children create, animate and narrate their own computer
movies

CHICAGO, IL, June 23, 1994 -- Knowledge Adventure, Inc., announced today at
the Summer Consumer Electronics Show the introduction of its newest
product, Magic Theatre. Developed by Instinct Corporation, the program
running under Microsoft Windows lets children easily turn their own
stories and experiences into animated computer movies. It includes a full
set of paint tools and seven libraries comprised of over 300 animations,
scenery, clip art, music and example movies. Magic Theatre will also ship
with a microphone that can be plugged into most industry-standard sound
cards so that children can add their own voice narration.

Magic Theatre will be available this summer through a wide variety of
computer and software stores, mass merchants and direct marketing
organizations. It will carry a suggested retail price of $59.95 for both
diskette and CD-ROM versions.

"With Magic Theatre's introduction, children's creativity tools have taken
a dramatic leap forward," said Bill Gross, founder and chairman of
Knowledge Adventure. "Through the fluid blending of illustration,
animation, narration and music, the imagination of kids can come alive in
ways never before possible on the PC."

"Because this program is so easy to use even for young kids, we have been
able to tap into everyone's innate desire to tell their own stories to
others," added Joe Adler, president of Instinct Corporation and developer
of Magic Theatre. "With Magic Theatre, children naturally develop their
artistic skills, speech, improvisation and sense of drama. Magic Theatre
even brings people together as productions become collaborations between
family and friends. Some like to draw, others prefer to narrate, sing and
everybody enjoys watching the latest Magic Theatre movie."

Magic Theatre lets children quickly and easily create their movies and add
their own narration and sound effects. They can create original artwork by
using multiple paint tools, some of which automatically mimic the styles
of famous painters. They can also add animation, scenery, music and visual
effects from the extensive libraries provided. To develop their artistic
skills, they can use the trace options, which lets them trace pictures as
part of their sound recording. Magic Theatre movies are automatically
stored on the user's hard disk and can be copied to diskette to be shared
with anyone owning a copy of the program. With appropriate equipment,
Magic Theatre movies can be recorded on video tape, as well.

Magic Theatre is the first product to emerge from Knowledge Adventure's
publishing division, announced in 1993 to attract developers with software
similar to the company's internally developed programs in their
educational philosophy and technological innovation.
