TOWER TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION AND O2 TECHNOLOGY, INC. FORM ALLIANCE

OOPL and OODBMS Vendors Team Up To Offer Complete OO Solutions

NEW YORK, NY -- June 6, 1994 -- Tower Technology Corporation of Austin,
Texas and O2 Technology, Inc. of Mountain View, California announced this
week at Object Expo an agreement under which the companies will integrate
and jointly market their products.

Tower offers the TowerEiffel System, a high performance object oriented
multi-language development environment. O2 Technology provides the O2
Database, a robust object oriented data base management system. Under the
agreement, an Eiffel interface class library will be developed to allow
direct access to 02 from Eiffel programs. Additionally, Tower will have
exclusive marketing rights of O2 to the Eiffel community.

Robert Howard, CEO and president of Tower, notes, "A number of our clients
who have demanding requirements for OODBMS have selected O2 because of its
scalability. Our clients don't want to deal with low level programming
issues and have requested that we provide an interface class library that
allows access to O2 from their Eiffel programs. We are very pleased with
O2's willingness to work with us and are excited about our ability to
respond to the needs of our customers so quickly."

Douglas Little, Vice President OEM Sales for O2 Technology, adds, "This
alliance supports O2's expansion plans by allowing our products to be used
with another object oriented programming language, and additionally
creating a new distribution channel for us. I have always viewed Eiffel as
an elegant and easy to use OOPL and believe it is well positioned to
increase its market share. We are very glad to have a relationship with a
major Eiffel provider"

Founded in 1992, Tower Technology Corporation provides a line of advanced
tools and services built around the object oriented programming language,
Eiffel. The Eiffel language, created in 1986, is a non-proprietary
advanced OOPL with built-in software engineering principles. Key features
of Eiffel include a clean syntax and a powerful object model, as well as
automated support for memory management, quality assurance and
documentation generation. Eiffel has been popular in academia since the
late 80's for teaching OO concepts and is gaining market share for
commercial development, as an OO design specification and modeling
language and as an application development system. NICE ( the Non-Profit
International Consortium for Eiffel ) controls the language's standards
and holds the Eiffel trademark.

O2 Technology, Inc. is a leading provider of object oriented database
systems and tools for the commercial ODBMS market. Founded in 1 991, 02
has its international headquarters in Versailles, France with US
headquarters in Mountain View, California. The 02 System supports a broad
range of applications including telecommunications, multimedia service and
technical data management. 02 is a UNIX based system supporting a client /
server architecture and is optimized for large scale, multi-user
databases.
