VBVoice - A graphical voice toolbox for Visual Basic

Sunday, August 14, 1994 -- Carp, Ontario -- PRONEXUS announced today the
full release of VBVoice, a voice and telephony integration package for
Visual Basic. VBVoice is a set of Visual Basic custom controls that create
a graphical environment for the design, development and testing of
interactive voice systems within Visual Basic.

VBVoice provides high-level voice and data controls that allow integration
of the telephone system with databases, fax and other custom controls.
This innovative design system allows users to graphically create the voice
menu trees in a point-and-click environment. To build a system, all that
is required is to place the voice controls on a form, fill in a dialog for
each one and connect the controls together to create a menu tree.

Voice systems can be created with VBVoice using little or no code, but
VBVoice objects can be extended with Visual Basic code using the built-in
properties of each control or by calling voice card functions directly. By
adding an easy-to-use voice design system to Visual Basic, Microsoft's
best-selling application development system, PRONEXUS has created a
package that brings the cost and complexity of voice integration down to a
level not seen before.

VBVoice is reasonably priced, with systems starting at $395 and with no
royalty fees. VBVoice works in simulation mode with sound cards, and with
most industry-standard telephone interface and fax cards. A version of
VBVoice that supports the Windows TAPI spec will be available soon.
