New Versions of At Ease Support System 7.5, Provide Improvements

Apple Computer, Inc. today announced updated versions of At Ease 2.0 and At
Ease 2.0 for Workgroups for the Apple Macintosh personal computer.  Both
products provide an alternative to the standard Macintosh Finder
interface.  At Ease 2.0 is designed for customers who share a single
Macintosh computer with multiple users in a household, home business, or
small business.  At Ease 2.0 for Workgroups is designed for administrators
of multiple Macintosh computers in workgroup or multiuser environments,
such as a classroom, training lab, service bureau, or large office. The
updated products Version 2.0.3 support all components of Macintosh System
7.5.  In addition, the new products offer improvements based on customer
feedback, including correction of problems encountered when printing from
the ClarisWorks application, and more robust security.

System Requirements

Version 2.0.3 of At Ease 2.0 and At Ease 2.0 for Workgroups requires an
Apple Macintosh computer with a minimum of 2 MB of RAM (4 MB recommended),
a hard disk, and any version of the System 7 operating system.

Availability and Pricing

In the United States, version 2.0.3 of At Ease 2.0 will be available in
mid-September through a variety of software resellers and Apple authorized
resellers for a suggested retail price of U.S. $59.  Existing At Ease
customers are encouraged to update their software by obtaining the
"Starter" Disk, free of charge on AppleLink, the Internet, and several
other online bulletin boards, including America Online, CompuServe, GEnie,
Resource Central and ZiffNet.  The "Updater" disk is also available for a
U.S. $10 handling fee by calling 1-800-769-2775, ext. 5918.  At Ease 2.0
comes with a license for a single Macintosh computer. Version 2.0.3 of At
Ease 2.0 for Workgroups is available through the same resellers for the
Apple price of U.S. $295.  At Ease 2.0 for Workgroups comes with  a
license for up to 10 Macintosh computers.  Worldwide localized versions of
both products will be available by the end of the year.
