Marco Electronics Licenses Sun Microsystems' Memory Patents

BOULDER, CO., September 25, 1994 -- R.B. Fietz, President of Marco
Electronics announced that Marco has licensed patents from Sun
Microsystems for memory designs used in Sun's SPARCstation 10 and
SPARCstation 20.

The licensed patents are used in Marco Electronics' 16MByte and 64MByte
SIMMs for SPARCstation 10 and SPARCstation 20. Marco's 64MByte module is a
fully decoded 67,108,864 byte CMOS dynamic random access memory composed
of thirty-six 4x4Mb TSOP Type II DRAMS. The thirty-six DRAMS mounted
together with thirty-six 0.22uF decoupling capacitors on a FR4 printed
circuit board provide a reliable memory module for upgrading systems where
high density and large capacity of memory storage are required. The
electrical characteristics, inputs and outputs, pinout and dimensions of
the MARCO module are compatible with the SPARCstation 20 and SPARCstation
20.

Marco Electronics' family of workstation memory upgrade products supports
systems manufactured by Sun Microsystems, including the complete
SPARCserver line and SPARCstation series. Every Marco upgrade product is
covered by a "Lifetime Warranty." Marco customers receive extensive
technical support, warranty and replacement services including 100%
testing, an (800) technical support hot-line, configuration guides,
specification sheets, EDI and Barcoding.

With combined annual sales of over $100 million, Marco Electronics is a
