MARKHAM, Ontario, September 12, 1994--SoftArc Inc. today announced that the
Company has relocated its operations to larger corporate headquarters in
Markham, just north of Toronto, Canada. This expansion was fueled by
SoftArc's rapid growth in fiscal 1993, which increased employee headcount
by over 300 percent.

"SoftArc has experienced unprecedented growth in the past year due to the
success of our FirstClass communication product," said Steven Asbury,
president of SoftArc. "Strategic partnerships, such as our bundling
agreement with Apple Computer, have further solidified our position in the
Macintosh market. At the same time, we find ourselves poised for
tremendous growth with the pending expansion of our FirstClass offerings
for the Windows, DOS and UNIX markets.

"This corporate move reflects FirstClass' ascent as an intelligent
alternative to antiquated mail architectures and bloated groupware
offerings," continued Asbury. "We have sold over 1,000,000 user licenses
in three years, and with current projects at hand, we'll be making some
exciting announcements of additional sales and strategic alliances in the
coming months."

An increasing number of organizations are recognizing the shortcomings of
traditional e-mail and instead are adopting integrated personal and
workgroup communication offerings. SoftArc believes many such businesses
are choosing FirstClass due to its solid. product architecture,
progressive policies such as free product upgrades and free technical
support, and competitive trade-ins for existing e-mail and groupware
products.

SoftArc is a leading developer and manufacturer of group communication
software. SoftArc's award-winning product, FirstClass, is a
cross-platform, enterprise-wide, group communication system that
integrates state-of-the-art e-mail with group conferencing, access to

functionality and robust performance over network or modem, and operates
in Macintosh, Windows, DOS, OS/2 and terminal emulation environments. The
