OS/2 Driver for IBM's Plantworks Available for 5136-SD Interface Card

August 31, 1994 -- Kitchener, Canada - Software packages that use the IBM
DAE product family and run under the OS/2 operating system can now
communicate with Allen-Bradley's PLC-5 using Intellsoft's Device Driver
and S-S Technologies' Direct-Link interface cards.

By combining S-S Technologies' 5136-SD (ISA) or 5136-SD-MCA (Micro Channel)
interface card with Intellsoft's OS/2 driver for DAE, an ISA or Micro
Channel computer running the OS/2 version of any DAE application can
communicate with Allen-Bradley's PLC-5 on the Data Highway or Data Highway
Plus network. The Device Driver provides high-speed communications,
efficient unsolicited message processing and program upload and download.

DAE applications currently available include IBM's Plantworks, POMS and
Paperless Manufacturing Workplace (PMW).
