FutureVideo's V-STATION for Windows Demolishes Videotape Editing Price
Barriers

ALISO VIEJO, CALIFORNIA, USA, 12th September 1994----FutureVideo has turned
the video editing world on end with its very affordable cuts & A/B Roll
videotape editing systems. Dubbed V-STATION for Windows, the systems
provide the professional performance users expect, but at a fraction of
the cost of other solutions--including nonlinear systems.

V-STATION for Windows is an integrated hardware/software system, comprising
a user-friendly software package and an edit controller device. Two models
are available. V-STATION 2200 is an easy-to-use cuts-only system (2 VTR
control), with a suggested price of only US$695. V-STATION 3300 may be
used for A/B Roll or cuts editing (3 VTR control) and has a special
introductory price of only US$995.

V-STATIONs are capable of supporting a variety of VTRs from different class
levels and tape formats--including SVHS and Hi8. Selected consumer-grade
VCRs & camcorders fitted with Sony's Control-L (LANC), plus low-end
industrial AG-1970/AG-1960 Panasonic VCRs are supported. Optional VTR
driver kits are available to add selected VISCA & RS-232C controlled
industrial VTRs, and RS-422A controlled professional VTRs.

V-STATION 3300 for Windows is capable of direct RS-232C serial
communication with Panasonic's top-rated WJ-MX30 and WJ-MX50 Digital A/V
Mixers. The various mixer functions can be set within the V-STATION
software and saved as part of the event record. This makes it possible for
video productions to be auto assembled, providing users with a powerful
boost in productivity

According to Stephen Godfrey, FutureVideo's Vice President, "Windows users
have been forced to spend substantial sums to integrate videotape editing
and VTR control within their computer systems. We sought to dramatically
alter this with V-STATION for Windows. For as little as $995, users can
perform precise A/B Roll or cut edits with their PC. And, an inexpensive
VTR Driver Kit is all that's needed to integrate high-end VTRs into the
system. Our users are never forced to buy more system than they really
need."

Mr Godfrey concluded, "It still requires a significant investment before a
straight nonlinear editing system can achieve SVHS/Hi8 quality. Our
highly-affordable V-STATION for Windows systems make it possible to use
videotape, auto-assemble the video production, and enjoy a refined
user-friendly system."

FutureVideo's V-STATION range also includes systems for Amiga/Toaster,
Macintosh, and DOS applications. FutureVideo has been an award-winning
pioneer in desktop videotape editing systems since 1986.
