MKS joins Digital's Alpha AXP Developer's Program with MKS Toolkit for NT

March 15, 1994 (Waterloo, ON)--MKS today announced the release of MKS
Toolkit for Digital Equipment's Alpha AXP version of Windows NT. MKS
Toolkit delivers powerful development utilities for DOS, OS/2, Windows NT,
and now Digital's Alpha AXP version of NT, including tools for command
editing and history, file processing and comparison, and text manipulation
and sorting. The Windows NT release of MKS Toolkit includes the MKS Vi
full-screen editor and MKS Make software construction tools.

"A growing number of application ports and development projects are being
performed on NT. Many software developers especially engineers whose
primary experience is with UNIX--have found that Windows NT does not offer
a very rich set of programming tools. As a result, MKS Toolkit is the
perfect solution and has been selling very well to this market," said Ruth
Songhurst, vice president, sales and marketing at MKS. "By porting MKS
Toolkit to Digital's Alpha machines, MKS Toolkit can address the
developers and MIS groups who need the extra horsepower provided on this
platform."

Digital, in conjunction with its Alpha AXP microprocessor, components, and
systems partners, is the world's leading supplier of RISC-based platforms
and peripherals for Windows and Windows NT compatible applications.
Digital's Alpha AXP architecture is increasingly gaining acceptance as the
fastest, most versatile, platform for deployment of NT production systems
and power desktops.

The release of MKS Toolkit 4.2 for Digital's Alpha AXP version of NT will
start shipping next month at a suggested retail price of US$299.
