Castelle Announces Support for Microsoft At Work

FaxPress Fax Servers to be Offered for New Architecture

New York -- June 9, 1993 -- Castelle, a leading manufacturer of network
productivity products, today announced support for the Microsoft at Work
architecture on its FaxPress network fax servers.

FaxPress is a self-contained special function server for local area
networks (LANs) that enables fax transmissions directly from a personal
computer. Any document that can be printed on a laser printer can be faxed
using FaxPress on Novell NetWare, Microsoft LAN Manager or IBM LAN Server
networks with full text, font and graphics intact, without special
conversions. And, documents received via FaxPress can be printed on any
laser printer on the LAN.

Castelle's FaxPress fax servers, utilizing the Microsoft At Work
architecture, will bring the benefits of integrated communication to all
Microsoft Windows operating system-based network users by providing fax
and data connectivity with other fax machines and Windows configurations.
Any Windows-based PC can send documents via FaxPress that can be delivered
directly to Microsoft At Work devices where they can be edited, updated or
stored. FaxPress will also automatically and confidentially route faxes
and data files received from Microsoft At Work systems to the correct
recipients anywhere on the network.

Within the Microsoft At Work architecture, users can access FaxPress as an
extension to their Microsoft Mail system. "For the first time, users can
exchange information seamlessly over telephone lines. We believe Microsoft
At Work will provide Windows-based users with innovative and practical
information communication capabilities. We're committed to providing
compatibility with this important new technology," said Daniel Platzker,
vice president product marketing and technical operations for Castelle.

Castelle, Inc. designs, manufactures, markets and supports dedicated server
solutions that enhance LAN productivity. Castelle's products include
