Micro Focus and Pyramid Technology Enhance Partnership to Provide
Comprehensive Client/Server Solution

Palo Alto, Calif. May 24, 1993 -- At the fifth annual Micro Focus User
Conference earlier this month, Micro Focus and Pyramid Technology
Corporation jointly announced the expansion of their business partnership.
This new agreement will enable Pyramid Technology to provide a full Micro
Focus client/server production environment. Pyramid is now offering a
comprehensive range of Micro Focus UNIX products on their open systems
data center-class server platform. In addition, Pyramid can now offer
Micro Focus' Windows, DOS and OS/2 products for the client side.

With the Micro Focus client/server solution, Pyramid users can develop both
the client and server sides of client/server applications via Dialog
System and Micro Focus COBOL. In addition, users can implement CCI and AAI
middleware products to tie these elements together seamlessly and use
Fileshare v2 to handle distributed data. Both CCI and Fileshare v2 are
included in Micro Focus Operating System Extensions which is part of the
new agreement.

complete Micro Focus client/server solution from Pyramid."

environment, downsize applications to a client/server environment and
develop applications which will work across multiple platforms, the Micro
Focus DOS and UNIX family of products provide users with all the tools
necessary to develop, update and maintain robust business applications.

DataCenter OSx (DC/OSx) is the operating system for Pyramid's MIServer S
and ES Series, the first commercial UNIX-based symmetric multiprocessing
systems to be built around the industry-standard R3000 reduced instruction
set computing (RISC) processor from MIPS.
