Traffic Software Announces OLE 2.0 Support for Object-Fax
First Fax Management Package to Support OLE 2.0

ATLANTA, GA -- May 24, 1993 -- At Comdex/Windows World'93, Traffic Software
Inc. demonstrated its support for OLE 2.0 in its Object-Fax product.
Object-Fax is a sophisticated, network fax management solution designed
for both Windows and DOS. Object-Fax will support many of the new features
of the OLE 2.0 technology including Visual Editing, Drag and Drop and OLE
Automation.

Object-Fax is ideally suited to take advantage of the new capabilities that
the OLE 2.0 technology offers. "Object-Fax has been designed from the
outset to support the object paradigm," said John Toohey, Development
Manager at Traffic Software. "We were among the first to support OLE 1.0,
but with OLE 2.0 we have finally realized the full potential of object
based fax management."

Object-Fax stores sent faxes as objects, saving a lot of valuable disk
space compared to storing faxes as image files. To send a fax users can
simply use the OLE Drag and Drop feature. Just drag the document and drop
it on the Object-Fax icon and away it goes. Object-Fax also allows other
applications to access its key functionality through the OLE 2.0 feature
known as OLE Automation. Through this mechanism, other Windows-based
applications can remotely drive Object-Fax to send, store and print faxes
as desired.

"OLE 2.0 allows end-users to work with applications in a more natural
manner through visual editing. Object-Fax provides a clear example of how
useful this capability is. Users can work with faxes in a much more
efficient manner since they can easily move them to the fax icon as
embedded objects through the Drag and Drop facility and can view them
directly in the fax document through visual editing," said Jonathan
Lazarus, vice president of Systems Strategy at Microsoft at the OLE 2.0
Developers Conference in May.

"We were pleased to see the kind of application interoperability that the
OLE 2.0 architecture provides," said Frosti Sigurjonsson, President of
Marketing at Traffic Software. "As a fax management application, it is
important that our application works in an integrated fashion with other
applications to help maximize productivity. OLE 2.0 provides the
infrastructure to seamlessly fax-enable other Windows-based
applications.".

Object-Fax is independent of any specific network protocols, and,
therefore, can be used on all PC based LANs. It is suitable for systems
with 5 to 4000 users. It can manage multiple fax servers LAN and each fax
server may contain up to 16 fax lines. Suggested retail price starts at
$990 for a 5-user system. Object-Fax supports both MAPI and VIM, and
support is planned for MHS in near future. Object-Fax supports sending of
faxes with a file-based API, allowing users to send faxes from almost any
computer platform, that can access the LAN file server.
