CHEYENNE SOFTWARE ENHANCES VALUE OF INOCULAN
Virus Protection For Workstations Now Included

ROSLYN, NEW YORK, November 16, 1992 - - - Cheyenne Software, Inc.
(AMEX:CYE) announced today that the company has enhanced the value of its
server-based anti-virus software product, InocuLAN, through the
incorporation of virus protection agents for DOS workstations connected to
the network.

InocuLAN provides centralized virus protection and prevention for the
NetWare file server as well as connected DOS workstations. Working
together, the server-based module (VAP or NLM) scans the file servers
while workstation agents protect networked PCs from known and unknown
viruses.

Initially introduced by Cheyenne in June 1992, InocuLAN (VAP and NLM)
included support for 5 networked workstations with additional workstation
support marketed separately. Research has indicated that workstation virus
protection is such an integral part of enterprise-wide data security that
to ensure all components of a network remain virus free, combining server
and workstation protection in one package was essential.

In making the announcement, Alan Kaufman, Vice President of Sales for
Cheyenne, stated, "Cheyenne is aware that workstations on a network are
the gateways or doors to the file server. To fully prevent the spread of
virus infection throughout a local area network, those doors must be
closed."

In addition, InocuLAN has been designed to operate in concert with
ARCserve, Cheyenne's server-based data management software solution.
Working together, ARCserve and InocuLAN can stop a virus from being backed
up and/or restored to the network.

Notification of a detected virus can be sent via pocket pager, MHS E-Mail
or network broadcast. Removal of an infected file, or even curing the
file, is often possible. Updates of software and virus signature files can
be distributed automatically from the file server, eliminating the need
for time consuming manual updates to each workstation.

Cheyenne has stratified InocuLAN's pricing structure to provide
comprehensive anti-virus protection and prevention for networks of all
sizes. The InocuLAN user level corresponds to the customers version of
NetWare and supports the number of users specified by that version.
Suggested U.S. retail pricing is as follows:

InocuLAN
Includes license for all workstations connected
   to the host server.

VAP (works with NetWare 2.1x or greater) $395.00
NLM (works with NetWare 3.11)
   NetWare 3.11-5,10 or 20 user versions $495.00
   NetWare 3.11-5,10,20,50,100, or 250 user versions $995.00
