Expert Graphics Announces the RASTEREX DIAMOND and STAR Boards
New Members of RASTEREX's TI-34020 Based Family

January 15, 1993 -- Atlanta -- Continuing in the tradition of developing
solutions, RASTEREX has now expanded Its family of TI-34020 based 32 bit
graphics boards, with the additions of the Diamond and the Star boards.
These new accelerator boards, along with the first TI-34020 based board,
the Tracer, are designed to fulfill specific application needs for
AutoCAD, document management, multimedia, and Microsoft Windows users.

For AutoCAD users who want to take full advantage of the new "NO REGEN"
feature introduced in AutoCAD Release 12, all three of these boards
support this capability using a true 32 bit display list. Through the
integration of Autodesk's rendering engine into Release 12, true color
palettes for improved rendered image quality offer users true color
capabilities and are supported by RASTEREX's Diamond and Star boards,
which offer 16 and 24 bit color at different resolutions. Using RASTEREX's
Release 12 RxAutoIcon driver, a user may select this rendering tool while
drafting in AutoCAD at hi-res (8 bit color), and the board will switch to
true color without having to reconfigure anything - giving the user the
best of both worlds! Users who are simply looking for a solid AutoCAD
driver that can handle large files will benefit greatly from the Tracer's
ability to handle up to 16 MB of on-board display memory.

Most document management users edit large raster files requiring vast
amounts of memory. Therefore, the Tracer is the best option for those
users with its expanded memory capabilities of up to 16 MB. RxEDM,
RASTEREX's engineering document management solution, is a modular system
which when combined with the Tracer board becomes an optimized solution
for managing documents. Although the Diamond and the Star will also work
with RxEDM, they are limited to 4 MB file sizes.

Multimedia users will appreciate the true color 24 bit capabilities offered
by the Diamond and the Star. Using our ADI driver, RxAutoIcon, for
Animator Pro and 3D Studio, users can benefit from true color rendering
and real-time video capture at high resolution.

With RASTEREX's fully optimized Microsoft Windows environment, Windows
users can run true color applications on both the Diamond and the Star.
But for power users, the Tracer offers a tool called RxPan which expands
the Windows display area for panoramic hardware zooming and panning inside
Windows.

RASTEREX's new generation TI-34020 based graphics boards each come standard
with 4MB of on board Display RAM, 1280x1024 resolution (reconfigurable for
lower resolutions), and start at $2,495.00. All of these graphics boards
are compatible with all RASTEREX software and are only available through
Expert Graphics Inc. in the U.S. and Canada.
